I shall try it and report my findingd. Thanks! Joe

Keep in mind too. At one time through this whole mess I did try the trial and that worked perfectly. Don't know why. Joe
Hi, Here is what see. It never changes no matter what theme I choose and try to apply. I hope this helps:
I see no change whatsoever. I use the Windows 7 Basic theme so if I were to post a picture you would judt see the windowblinds screen over the Windows 7 Basic theme it never changes no matter which theme I try to apply with WB 7. I'd be glad to post a picture of that if you would like. Joe
Hello agin, Just for the hell of it, cause I did an Acronis restore to my pristine first backup, I tried installing WB 7 again, thinking maybe Tech Support did something on thir end. First thing I did was install Impulse and went to my account and WB 7 is still not there. So I installed WB 7 from the link Anthony gave me, it installed fine and ran. It asked for the reg info and took it then, again, when I clicked on a theme and clicked apply theme it asked again for the reg info, then
I can't believe this. I feel like I am being blown off. They merged my tickets again, that's fine, but the last post by tech support is the same one I got before simply giving me a link to the site where I can download the software again and acquire my serial number then they put the ticket on hold waiting for my response. I have done this countless times. I begged them to read this post in it's entirety, I just hope someone is following this besides you guys here because it seems
Ok, thanks for the help. Joe
OK sorry I panicked. I started a new ticket and emailed Anthony back. I believe I have done all I can to get them to look at this problem. I did a forum post search and others see the same problem. Program will not work, asks for reg info twice AND are showing no record of ownership in Impulse. We shall see soon I hope. You have been a gem on this issue, thanks so much! Joe
Where is all the information we worked on all night about? Joe
I created a new ticket, Please review ticket # WEB-625547 Thanks Joe
Hello, You had them remove the wrong ticket from my queue. They deleted the latest one about this problem. I will create a new ticket to address this issue but we NEED to get this resolved. I sent an email replieing to a tech support email asking them to PLEASE read this. ALso, tech support, Please call me if you must, I sent my number to that same email and you should have it in my contact information, if not I will make sure it is there. Joe
Not to beat a dead horse here but it seems like Impulse is not getting my registration info from Starddock because I can still get to Stardocks download page with my serial number etc but there is no record that I own WB on Impulse. Joe
I must have done something wrong. I followed your instruction exactly but there are no registered programs in my impulse "My Software" at all. Either in the program or in My Account on the web site. Joe
With respect to this. Does migrating the registration information take time, say 24 hrs for example, or should it be instantaneous? Joe
When I try to register a product through Impulse this is what I get: Joe

Oh and one last thing tonight, this is also for the techs. The paid installer I am using is the original one I downloaded the night I bought the software. Also keep in mind it worked once. I had it on and working for a few hours before I did that fresh Win 7 install so I know it should work at some point. We just have to put our finger on the problem. THanks, Joe
Quoting joelore, reply 17so why isn't my paid version woeking? There may have been some updates to WindowBlinds since you purchased it and the trial is the latest version that works with your operating system. You will need to uninstall the trial version and reboot. Then try the Register a Product (see below) and then after registering WB you should be able to install the latest version. Reboot after installing WB.<b
Does WIndowBlinds activate through Impulse? Because on StarDocks web site they have all my registration information but on the Impulse web site they have no record of my owning WindowBlinds. Joe
Ok just for the hell of it I downloaded the trial version, installed it and it is working fine, so why isn't my paid version woeking? With the paid version asking me for registration information twice it is starting to look like an activation issue. ANy ideas on this now? Joe
Thanks, my family is freaking out over this. I have wanted WB for the longest time and they got it for me for fathers day and now that I want to start using it it does not work. I hope you understand my situation. Thanks so much for anything you can do to expidite this. Joe
THis is interesting. THis last time I tried reinstalling WB I activated it and rebooted right away, as per instruction. THen I thought to check the "about" and here: Your computer has a Windows Experience Index base score of 6.7 Your Windows Graphics Experience score is 6.7 WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 7.2 (build 297 - Windows 7 Edition) - 64 bit OS WindowBlinds is not installed correctly on this PC. If you did not reboot after installi
No. Not sure how to do that. I had Impulse installed and it would never recognize my registration number, even after applying that reg fix. Joe
Should I try installing WB in safe mode? Joe
Ok, I didn't need to restore from the original disk. While I was getting ready to a friend of mine, who is the Windows 7 expert with the local Geek Squad called and he came over with his MRI disk and ran a battery of tests on my current install. System files are all intact, no viruses or malware etc.. etc.. he saw no reason to restore anything. I tried reinstalling WindowBlinds while he was here and saw first hand that it is just not applying any themes. The curious thing is every
I actually wasn't happy with the image I used to restore so since I have the time, and the energy, I am going to do a full format and reinstall of Windows and see if that fixes it. If not then we know I have more to talk to support about. I really want this program to work and of course not being out $20 for nothing, I will reply when I am done, Joe
