The 'Monthly Desktop Screenshots' thread is for EVERYONE. It may be for everyone but it is usually skinners and the people that ' hang out ' together that post their shots there. Although the thread seems shorter and shorter than in the ' old' days. Most ' skinners' do not want screen shots listed in their " skins " list.

I have made a point of that over and over that Screen Shots should have a ' view' button, not a download button. I delete all my screen shots because I do not want a ' fake ' download count. Most of us do not feel we are welcome to post our screen shots on the monthly thread. It has always appeared that its for ' special' people.<br/

If you use a font that isn't normaly found on a computer (you got it off the internet) or is a font that came with a program you installed then you should include it in a zip file along with your Dxtheme file. Darn you DSL users

Thanks again. I did that. It seemed to look fine on my computer before. Strange, do you have "Cage" font on your PC? The Boxes had text on them. I have no idea why they don't show on your PC. Now I clearly understand and yes many were of the personal kind that could be shared with family in other states, but the photography ones that are scenery could work for anyone who likes a nature or outdoor scene. The Fairy Princess was (like I said) very difficult for me. I hope to take more pics (because I live in "beautiful" Florida) and would like to share it with the world. I have lived here 25 years and have traveled and think it is just the best place to live.

One thing I found besides what Quentin an Murex found : The button that Opens/Toggles the SysTray will open...but I can't toggle shut. Once open it stays open. Maybe some mouse over tool tips for buttons - All the buttons have a small clear rectangular box that pops up when you click button, in addition to the tool menu etc . What it the purpose of the empty box ? Just minor adjustments

Translation: For anyone who is having trouble gettng The Pirate to talk: You have to use WMP as the default. So if I use iTunes, the Pirate won't speak? I do not use WMP at all. set only the background and pictures i use in SKS but the rest i make it like that. Thats exactly what I was saying to lantec. If you add a picture/graphic etc ...SKS is the best way to edit the background. The rest, just open up the ini and twiddle away. And added feature to SKS ( Re uncle robs comment above) to just ' start from scratch' on WB , RC etc would be nice..

I've used notepad to edit the .obskin and it's been trial and error figuring out what everything does. I'm going to try it your way soon. Thats basically how I stumbled through it..spending hours changing each number in each line..I still can't remember what changes what unless I just go through it all again. I'm gonna have to try that on my next skin. Mine are pretty plain compared with Quentin & Fairyy~'s but now you've inspired me so I'll have to take a crack at it. I make the initial RC using the Skin Tool that comes with RightClick program...buzzh58 showed me how to edit the ini pad in SKS after you make the basic RC... SKS is where you can make the images so they tile correctly, etc. Its just easier this way.

Stee: 3. Gradient on startpanel is set to stretch and not tile. The all programs portion of the start menu ( gold side ) is set to stretch and the Places portion (the Skull and Crossbones image side ) is set to tile. There is another option to threads that go array,"the admin post a warning reminding those in the thread that things are way off topic and if such activity continues the thread will be locked" ,if the thread is not too bad the offending,flaming posts can be deleted then a warning put up to stay on topic or else, That would have been a better option. sends a message to the users of the site that it's user base also takes a hand in preventing rips. That was one point I was trying to make. While I agree 100% that rips should be reported privately so as not to accuse an innocent person...but if all the talk of RIPS is done behind the scenes then more users are apt to try and slip rips by thinking that no one is really watching or caring.
