I agree with dropping it for this round (even though I just showed up for the end). If the penalty is not dropped, it seems like the teams with 5 members have a significant advantage. Regardless of this, I think the new round should start tomorrow. Lets keep this rolling! Vilgan

I vote yes. Sounds like a good enough working model for me. In response to some of the other things: I prefer the averaging method. A team of 5 should consider add all 5 times/scores and divide by 5. A team of 4 should do the same for 4. Admittedly, the team of 4 might have a slight advantage in that there is a lower chance that someone will not submit and screw the team, but I think it is the most fair method overall. One thing that was not mentioned in the repost was start ti
I'm a latecomer to the league, but did play a game following the requirements listed so figured I would post it. From what I understand, since we are a 5 man team.. if my score is the lowest it will be dropped. Since I'm new at this whole thing, I don't have much of a score to show but I did beat the silly thing. Score (not sure how to link it, but its fairly easy to find on my profile since I've finished all of 2 games): Points: 5250 Game Length: 4 years Alignment: ver
Hrmm, guess I get to vote. Temporarily vote no, agree with Mumblefratz's concerns. With more and more people joining, I think at least the 3 fastest/biggest individual games should get a bonus. I also think the teams should be done on an average, so that the size 4 and size 5 teams are more equal. Team size: no need to really define this imo with averages. This round we can stay with 4 teams, if more people join we can increase it to 5. I do like the idea of there being a tie b
So like.. I went ahead and tried on a game on the settings described. Not a very noticeable score, but still learning the game and had to blast through it quick (not a lot of free time this weekend). 2 Questions: Am I allowed to post it to help out team B (that I just joined?)? I saw people joining and posting in the past, but not this close to the end of the round I think. Should I actually post a low scoring (5400ish) game? It looks like there was a penalty for lowes
I have an account already made at the Galactic Core. I see the Team B forum, but have not received any info on the password or whatever to access it. As for all the shameless plugs, I dunno... I clicked to join the Diplomats (don't think anything has happened) since they seem like a good/helpful group of people. There were some other empires that I liked the premise (Dune based one, BSG based one etc) but seemed inactive.. or at least the leader hadn't posted a game in months.
I'm interested in joining in the fun whenever the next round kicks off. I just got the game a few days ago, so definitely in the newbie category GalCiv I was kinda fun, but having a BLAST with galciv II now that I finally got around to buying it. Character name will be Vilgan.
