Once again, you have demonstrated more self control than I have--you'll notice I jumped right into that comment in a catty and immature way. I'll try to be better at following your example--but being the baby sister, I'm inclined to fits of immaturity! As for the laundry, JillUser said I could drop mine off at her house, I doubt she'd notice if I lumped yours in with it!</

He is a manifestation of all the lost opportunities that I have had. He reminds me that my life can be a whole lot worse than what it is right now. He reminds me that sometimes it's really hard to find the good in people, and sometimes people act a certain way because of outside forces. Karma- That se
"normal is merely a setting on your dryer." (that's from some famous person, but I forget who)
hopefully someone else can chime in with a better answer, but I'll give it a whirl. Trolling is when you comment on someone's blog with something that is completely off topic or insulting. I'm sure there's a more extensive definition out there, but the basic rule of thumb is to stick to the issue and be polite (I don't think you will have to worry about the latter, you appear very considerate.)
between stealing socks and quarters, laundry gnomes lead a busy life. I love reading your blog citygirl! I look foward to more entertaining stories.
I, too, adore farmer's markets--the produce is always better and the prices are usually a steal. The town we're going to in England has a farmer's market twice a week...I'm so looking forward to shopping there again! where in england are you going? is it back to your hometown? or at least clos
If that were the case, I don't think anyone would be left around here...
I didn't even put a dent in the laundry pile hey sis, since your doing laundry anyway, mind if I drop mine off at your house too?
I agree with dharma, marc. feel free to express your opinons. people will let you know if they don't agree, but that's the great thing about opinions--they belong to you and no one else!
I didn't realize that grey was the non-American spelling. I've always spelled it grey--I was always taught that the two were interchangable...but that's just my 2 cents.
Man, I feel sorry for my kids.... I do too! They can always come to Aunt Shades house when they want to be mischevious. I'll be the fun aunt!
Congrats! You must be feeling quite proud of yourself! Do you have to take an actual PT test anytime soon?
and the most important question: did you get fish and chips?
wow, i don't think i could handle snow in may--i was moaning this morning cause it dipped below 60 (yup, i'm spoiled). i sometimes wonder how my parents ever put up with me, i was, and am, an incessant talker--nonstop, 24 hours a day. seven days a week.
Janders: Sounds like your baby had a lot of love surrounding her. Thanks for the wish list. One of my friends lost their baby last year and I am never really sure how best to talk about it. I usually allow her to take the lead, if she wants to talk about baby Ashton, we do, if she doesn't, we don't. I appreciate the tips and will keep them in mind in the future. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394
maybe they are "irish twins"--you know, only 10 months apart It kind of looks like I was the "oops" baby no cats yet, but if I'm still single at 45 I'm investing in some feline friends!
btw--I'm pretty excited about all my new neices and nephews--I mean, if I'm going to be a single ol' spinster with a lot of cats, than I might as well spoil my cyber-sister's kids right?
sorry Karma--looks like I'm the baby--I'm 26--does this mean I get to be spoiled? that would be better than having NickyG pick on me
I'm sure you made their day--I wonder how often they are thanked? And, hopefully, as Jill and Poetmom said, it will help you to heal mentally. You know how they say that dreams are either something that is going to happen or something that you are afraid of...well, if you subscribe to this thought process (I'm not fully decided yet) maybe your nightmares last week were some how foreshadowing this meeting, so that it would be fresh in your min
Locamama: I definately picked it simply for its name, but I really like the color. I was a Jewel of India or a Chi-ching Cherry girl for a while, but I might be making a shift. Marc: Thanks for the comments and welcome to JoeUser!
humor is paramount with me! As i thought you could have guessed I could've guessed, I simply chose not too A willing learner, eh?
OPI has some pretty funky names for their nail polishes, but this one simply takes the cake. The thing is, I am really a waitress, well, on the weekends at least. I've been schlepping beers at a pub for the last nine months, and for the most part I enjoy it. Our regulars are wonderful. If there were ever a place that was the real live "Chee
It's funny how little we realize we put our parents through--I would have to say that after my brother and I, my parents should be up for sainthood. Hang in there. It's got to be tough being on the receiving end of these battles. I think you handled it well, and years from now, I think Shea will agree!
oh, fish and chips--yummy... ok, now I'm going to be craving it all day!
You are definately not alone on this one Dharma! I guess the good thing is that I can recognize when I am emotionally turtling and I usually force myself to do something social--like head out to the pub with friends even though I'd rather head to my couch with a good movie. It usually works and I end up overcoming the "run away" feeling--but it's a heck of a lot of effort. Muggaz: It's usually the fact that I might "miss somethi
