Finally decided to give it a go and install Firefox. Haven't noticed any browser issues/problems yet - does seem to be faster. I think I'll stick with it and see what happens.

Surely if it would, and it happens, then it will and they did, but I don't think it has, so I suppose they won't and they did not or they could not so they haven't - I think P.S. I'm happy with my nice flat 1280 X 1024 [Message Edited]

All it takes is one entry like this that shows up in Google - then other people see the entry and report it as fact - and before you know it ......

phreaking: /freek´ing/, n. [from ‘phone phreak’] 1. The art and science of cracking the phone network (so as, for example, to make free long-distance calls). 2. By extension, security-cracking in any other context (especially, but not exclusively, on communications networks) (see cracking). At one time phreaking was a semi-respectable activity among hackers there was a gentleman's agreement that phreaking as an intellectual game and a form of exploration was OK,

To recap then, we're looking for a theme that looks as if it should be good, runs well for 90 minutes and then crashes Essencay remarking on the coarseness of his ride, "This is gonna leave a rash /me wonders - is that a Beckham quote ?

DWatson - Seriously don't give in - all my stuff works perfectly but I just ran the same routine and those ports don't show up when I use the command prompt either in normal use. Also when I use Telnet mail.ISP.com.110 etc from the command prompt I can only get as far as entering my password before it fails. Sadly I can only go as far as this - not through lack of interest - just ability - I think the blind might be leading the blind already <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/s

Bear with it for now DW - I don't think anythings 'broken' its just something so obvious that we're missing it. I think your right to take a break though. If you come back to it - as you will Go back to basics again and from a fresh boot, check that your firewall isn't blocking Outlook Express, make double sure your settings are exactly correct and try once more. Meantime I'll check around

Program > Accessories > Command Prompt Then it advises to resize the window - just click on the little C in top left corner and you'll see the menu appear, choose properties and resize window as suggested - it won't be a permanent change so don't worry its only to make everything easier to read. Then just follow instructions and see if those ports are listening.

The word is infuriating - glad its not just me tho. Hopefully if DW follows the Search Google route he'll get there. You wouldn't believe the ride I've been on with researching this incredimail stuff. My heads spinning with it ! Not sure its Microsoft Certified tho - only one link states that and I'm not convinced. Mind you I'm not sure Outlook Express should be either

When I click on that Jafo for some reason I just get a front page that says requested page is unavailable and yet it works perfectly from the Google search link. So I've given up and given the route to the Google search page hopefully.
