Captain Jack Sparrow Captain Jack Sparrow

G.R.O.S.S. communication thread.

G.R.O.S.S. communication thread.

Cringe in fear do gooders. The G.R.O.S.S. (Get Rid Of Slimy alienS) empire is now formed. In less than an hour we have jumped 95 other Pacifist Doo Gooder victim empires and lept into 40th out of 135 ranked.

We are an evil empire bent on controlling everything and showing all the other empires out there who's boss. US. Are you listening Euro-"Oh lets let everyone be a senator and give em a vote doo gooder democracy alliance?" We come for you.

For a limited time, (untill I decide otherwise) 5 Pure Evil games, (or just impressing me with your game evilness) submitted will get you a Senatorship. Later, being the evil empire pyramid scheme we are, it will take 10. Of course, being the evil empire we are, that gives you no benefits, no pay, but all the alien carnage you crave most.

Now we do realize that sometimes, you just have to fake being good. You sometimes just have to infiltrate that pacifist party. We understand. But we aren't a kinder gentler empire and don't let their pacifism go to your head. And just sometimes, you gotta let the Aliens live (where else would you find slaves for the heavy metal lava mines?)

In the future, we shall update each other in the empire via this thread, brag of our conquests, drink blood wine, and generally just poke fun (creatively and humorously) at those players whom we find to be too goody goodyish.

Our mottos.

G.R.O.S.S. Where being good is merely a temporary strategy.

Just win baby.

Here's your ration of skin you do gooder wimp Drengin slime. Now get back to work

EBZeroMatrix you have been made a senator.

I repeat. Cringe in fear, we come for you.

Pontius, that was an INDECENT score for a tiny map. I am amazed you had the hutzpah to post it. 21,610 !Do you know why it is so extreme? From your other Tiny

It's all the version. first one was 1.05, second was 1.1. Well that and Pontius just plain lays the bomb baby. :) There is very little difference in actual performance between the two.

Oh and I culture bombed like crazy. Cultural Maximizing was about the only post battleship tech I beat the puter to. The Puter out teched me and out gunned me nearly the entire game. I ended with military rating about 40. I never did develop any military. It took alot (and I mean alot) of bribes. I discovered Bribes work every three turns all the time. Every two turns only some of the time, Every turn never. But it worked.

Settings were. Maso, Tiny, Abundant,
I started in sector 2,3 with one system. Most like to start in the corner with 2 or so good systems. I'm the opposite. I like to start in the middle, with a free corner to fall back into, with only one good system in my home sector. It's better for influence purposes. To only have one in your home sector and more in the adjacent as most of your pop (and influence will be in the home sector to start. Having two or more in the other sector you colonize gives you a bit of cushion. Also, I like the isolated side rather than the dense side of the galaxy. It gives you more cultural insulation early (which you need)

I chose Populists
20% morale
+2o% diplo

I took +60 Diplo (5 pts)
+10 Econ (2 pts)
+20 Science (2pts)
+10 Soc prod (1pt)

One thing is I did get more wonders than usual.

But Ray's putting in 35k medium maso's. I think it's just the version. Try it out and see.

Just for kicks I ran my crippling small through the new version. It scored 33k (I didn't submit) So the scores are definitely higher. I ought to load an endgame save on one of my painful gigantics and see what the new version would score it. BRB

Threadzilla is indeed such a large beast these days. I remember hand feeding her small chunks of alien, and now she requires several whole ones at a time, preferably fresh and moving. It is a good thing our more aggressive raiders bring home plenty of food.

Geeze,

4 more posts and poor old zilla will go to the 2nd page.

Pontius: I always pick industrialists because I figure that it is handy to be able to build everything 20% quicker. Populists would be significant with the 20% diplo if it wasn't for the diplo translators which I can always purchase/trade for with techs.

But 20,150 is my top score on small maso and I was pushing it to get that. It must be because I usually have few planets. That must be why the other civ's influence hasn't been a worry for me. I'll have to progress to abundant planets and see whether I can win.

I'll try that. I usually settle for 2 star systems in my home sector, and then see what develops. But as I said, I haven't been overly concerned with influence yet. With abundant planets that will change.

Wombie: You said it boss. How come you've never tried it on yourself?Pontius: Who says I haven't? (Big Evil Grin)

Groan. I've always seen you as a Tasmanian devil. I was glad Cypher didn't choose that animal. :)

Spin Spin Spin Spin.. Raaaaah... Now where's that rabbit? HEHE.

But consuming Wombat from the inside out wouldn't be all that good a thing for meta stories.... Besides, We couldn't have wino babysat by a Taz could we? So that animal may be on the shelf. HEHE.

Recall production bonuses must be 2/3 paid for 1/3 off the top.

When I choose another party it's usually the federalists.

But with the populists and the 60% (and diplo translators) LMAO you can actually get some moola out of the minor civs.

The Ringworms contraband police chief stomped into Theoden's office.

Would you just look at this Sir!! It's the perfect Xmas gift. I bought it at Walgreen's Potions. They also have em at Save alot, and Rite Aid. The Agent proceeded to whip a clay pot statuette with holes in its head on the table. Look Sir, you just spread these seeds , water em every day and watch its hair grow. I did one up just for you. It's ready. Theoden looked at the statuette and thought it bore a resemblence to the emporer. He took the Statue to Ray.

Theoden: This looks kind of like you there Ray. See the long crooked nose and buck teeth. And this one has a glass eye you can put in and out too. I trimmed your alfalfa sprout hair and gave you a mullet. Doesn't that look cool?

THIS DOES NOT LOOK LIKE ME. WHERE DID YOU GET THIS?

Theoden: It's all the rage in the stores. It's called a Chua Pet.

A WHAT????

A Chua Pet.

Ray: GIVE ME THAT %$$#@%^$^$#%#^%ING BOX.

The box read, "Manufactured in Sri Junka. remember Sri Junka for all your cheap xmas garbage gift needs."

CHEAP XMAS GIFTS!!!! I'M THE SUBJECT OF A 2BC CHEAP XMAS GIFT THAT GROWS ALFALFA HAIR? ISN'T SRI JUNKA IN PIRATE SPACE? THIS IS PIRATE DOING, AREST THEM!!!! Outlaw the sale of this immediately.

EDITOR'S NOTE:
There is no truth to the rumor that the makers of the chiapet were in business past the year 2010. Any resemblence to the chia pet of that time is well intentional. What do you expect out of a pirate.

Don't forget. It's Nearly October. chia (and now chua) pets go on sale soon!!!!
