They've been poaching ppl since the day i first looked into signing up to this unit.. even so they couldn't maintain No1 ranking.. so guess what they do again.. yup.. you guessed it... bribed others yet again.. Unfortunately I'm another person who has been very inactive since the empire was started.
I'm sure BlueSteel will do a much better job of maintaining the empire than I did (that would not require much effort) while it is also good to see a few other members come out of the woodwork.

I should be able to start submitting the odd game again.

Nice way of keeping it interesting here. You have to show some attitude and some creativity to attract those new members. New story lines, lots of posts, jokes, etc.

Damn those southern mutants. Those no good deserters. Maybe that mutation melted away their backbone and they can do is crawl around taking the pirate scraps.

Drop Bear and Space Wombat are no more... Just a few sea urchins on the sea floor now. A nuisance to anyone not careful enough to step on them. Maybe it's step up for those pirates though. They won't have a stupid excuse to fall back on when the Fellowship passes them again in a few days.

As for wizards...they did enough of their own recruiting when it suited them. When we 'liberate' resources from the southern Metaverse for our own use, we might even leave a bit of money on the fridge, out of kindness....

Honestly, what the remaining ANZACs need right now is their original leader (or a transfer of power somehow to a new emperor with the time to commit without resorting to total reorganization) and a will to survive. Get whatever inactive people can be reached back on the forum, or at least get a game out of them once in a rare while. Recruit actively. Sure, ANZAC gets a built in recruitment bonus for being a regional empire (easy to find, easy to identify with, easy to join), but unless you want to go down the road of the Euros and Canadians in being dull and seemingly listless (or undead!), then recruit.

Also, don't cry over proverbial spilt milk. What is lost is lost. Live with it and move on, or die with the baggage. Don't take this advice the wrong way, surviving ANZACs. I have supported and helped several empires in their time, including ANZAC, but a realistic overview of your future is required and not a longing for past glory.

Dam fooi! And darn it! I've played four games this weekend and I still haven't been able to break 10k . . . Fudge! Dag gone and double dratts! What have I gotta do already to milk a higher score out of these games . . .
