It's just a natural system. Nothjing we do will change it. We polluted the water and over fished the seas though.

I gotta agree with you there. In theory it is great for the earth and society because the poor can sell their carbon credits to the wealthy. Finally the poor would have something the rich want other than cheap labor. But I agree the whole thing isn't plausible.

One proposal put forth to comat this depletion was to encase these estabishments under huge plastic domes, and let the occupants choke on their own hot (BS) air... however, other environmentalist believe this to be too risky a venture as it would result in far too many contaminants leeching into the ground below, thus rendering huge tracts of surrounding land toxic.
