Because WB 8.09 reported 8.06 even though ODM reported 8.09 (see my previous post), I took the opportunity to uninstall WB and clean the registry. After a reboot, I ran ODM and discovered that WB 8.09 was no longer available! Now I have to reinstall WB 8.06 because Stardock apparently pulled WB 8.09 without any notification.

What a waste of my time... >:(

Followup to my last post: When I attempted to reinstall WB 8.06 using ODM, the installation complained about a decompression error with the TGA files in a blind called "Precision". I aborted the installation and deleted what I believed to be a bad blind, then tried to reinstall. Again the installation complained about the "Precision" blind. Clearly this blind must be packaged with WB 8.06, so I just skipped over the problem files, but it then stumbled over another packaged blind called "Win8".

I then downloaded and installed WB 8.06 from the web site. This was successful, so there is something wrong with the WB 8.06 that is downloaded by ODM.

Again,  I'll ask...

When trying to update WB and WFX through Object Manager, I'm asked for my serial code and e-mail.

I have also tried downloading from my account downloads with the same results.

Click, and I get an error code 202. Thank God for system restore. Guess I'll not be updating for awhile.

Anyone else with this problem?

Since WB 8.09 is gone SJN, I am guessing that you are installing 8.06 and getting this issue? If so, uninstall it, run a good registry cleaner or two, reboot and download WB 8.06 it directly from the store and install it that way. ODM seems to have issues too.

Am I the only one having a 1pixel gap in chrome on the left and right frame, when using a windowblinds skin on windows8.1?
Or is there a fix for this yet?

How are you upgrading to 8.09 when it has been removed from ODM and the Stardock store?

My guess, Tom, would be that he got it before it's removal. It isn't in my downloads either. Not that I'd go anywhere near it if it were.

Hope this helps Stardock:

With 8.09 installed, Directory Opus will not launch any more and going back to 8.06 did not help that.

When I unload WB and then launch Directory Opus, it launches fine. Then I can launch WB and until I reboot my machine, Directory Opus keeps launching fine.

So WB is preventing some subsistems of DO from launching, but once lanched, WB does not bother DO any more.

I am experiencing the same issues as thedoctor953 in reply #32. The context menu in Skype is crushed down vertically like the line height is only a few pixels. I tried excluding the application and that did not work. The only thing that fixed the problem was going back to the Microsoft Aero skin. This problem has been that way for a few versions of Skype. Once again it would seem that Microsoft is doing someting non-standard with this context menu.

Has anyone else experienced this problem with Windows 7? Does anyone have any suggestions to fix it?

It sounds like you are using the beta of WindowBlinds 8.09 from before Christmas.  This is not an issue with the most recent beta build.
