Ratings in general and Screenshots ratings particurarly

Since a while someone is playing with ratings, and give systematicly bad ratings to skins (screenshots) that are fine / very fine so they are to 4 or 5 instead of 8 or 9 which should be the right rating ... Just a few examples :

thank you neophil78 for your concern. to me screens are more that just something to look at in boredom. the specific screen of mine neo linked to was a port i had made of Thunder Storm (by pixStudio) for LiteStep. it took quite a while to modify the images and set up the scripts (5 different pages of scripts) not always is porting just a "5 min task" .

i use the screen shots section to get opinions on my various mods / ports/ skins. so i can get the communitys opinions on what i am working on. like i have said before, many desktops are not just "default stuff in different configurations" im not sure abt the others but i know i use the screens section as a sounding board to showcase things im working on .. so yes feed back is important to me ..

chasUGC, weighted ratings to my knowledge hasn't gone into effect yet.

I have always looked at Screenshots as 'mannequins' that people use to show what they have put together to customize their desktop. It gives people an idea of what skins to combine and how they look in combination with other skins (not of the same suite)
Why they have been given a rating button is beyond me.
As Jafo said, maybe it will be better if only admins would rate them, or just remove the rating feature from it.
