Yes I'v been racking my brain trying to come up with a good name for us. I want to retain some part of the republic in the name................ Nifty! Looks great on the individual Empire page, and even in the "big icon" format on the Empire rankings page. Still, it's a bit hard to make out when they shrink it down on the player ID line.

May have to eat my words about getting that game in tonight. I've whittled the galaxy down to just the Yor (?) and myself - even the minors are gone - but it's going to take awhile to get enough transports over to their end of the galaxy to make much of a dent. Oh, well, that's what weekends are for.

Here's an idea about the "Jedi rankings." If everyone here has/is planning to change their nickname to fit the Imperial theme, how about just adding the appropriate title to the nickname whenever it is bestowed by the Republic? You could even take it a step farther and have "Jedi" and "Sith" based on our individual game alignments, although that might make for some hair-raising council meetings... :SURPRISED:

And as I've just moved to Tennessee from Chicago, let me cast a resounding "NO" vote for "Yoda's Yankees." Honestly, though, it would get attention.

"Jedi Republic" was suggested by Gerakken of GROSS. I kinda like the simplicty of that name. If we do this we could alter the logo just slightly so that instead of the letters "JK" it could depict the letters "JR" (since the K is easily turned into an R)

Hmmm...

I assume that the final decision for the name rests with our glorious Emperor, uh, President of the Republic (there's that whole Dark Side thing from the current game creeping in), but simple is good. Jedi Republic has a nice ring to it.

I am now Qui-Gon Jin, Master of the Living Force. In a former incarnation I was once known as LifeWish.

I choose Qui-Gon Jinn as my name, because Qui-Gon was a master of the Living Force, unlike most Jedi Masters who chose to become more connected to the Unifying Force.

Long live the Jedi Republic!
