Thank you Ben! We have had some new recruits (Exar Kuun and Icho Tolot)that have really helped the Jedi Republic stay in the top 5 and keep the forum active. Not to mention our long time Sith Master Darth Kryo, and all he has done with the Jedi Republic website.

Arcilte...Happy Birthday also and keep the young Jedi's in order over there. Speaking of old times, :::wipes some mist from his eyes:::, I remember when the empire first started as The Republic and there were only 5 or 6 of us starting out with other empires making fun of the name and us; but look at you now; you guys are a force to be reckoned with and it seems like you are getting new recruits every week.

Woohoo, some poking by cari and a resubmit by me, and my game from last night showed up. I'm now the second evillest man in teh metaverse again... just wish Jaws submitted more games as good instead of evil so I could get back #1 easier

Glad this all worked out for you. Do you know what the problem was?

Well... it seems the time tested knock on wood method didn't seem to work. This time I was able to play ONE whole year... then it CTD. I tried to reload the game (ie Restore Last Save Game) and it CTD right away. Well it loads to a blank Tech screen and then when I press "Done", the whole screen turns red and then it CTD.

So... now what? :notsure:

Maybe we can get an official answer from CariElf or Frogboy on compatibility between the English and German versions.

i swiched my data to the english Kuun send to me, everything went ok. building was ok, and all.



I got this problem only when .sav file and folder are not fitting together

Maybe you should try to reinstall the complete save, sometimes helpes

Set up a seconde Galciv installation and I will send you a data file to replace the one you have, which should be removed using delete, not copied over. If you want to know why go back over the last few pages of forum thread.

I have contacted the high priestess of the metaverse, the CariElf and asked for her guidance, she may be able to help, the force is strong with this one. I have promised her healthy flapjack recipes (she's trying to give up chocolate) and poems from us in return

For some reason it just didn't show up in the database. Not surprisingly, the submit went very fast, but I would think it would have thrown an error but it didn't. So She just had me resubmit and it showed up right away.

Okay, took me a while to have a look at the files - couple of things in-game i.e. build queue is wrong we haven't got the techs, one of the minors cultural influence is showing up on the main map as bright orange, can you tell me the size/no. of files/no. of folders in your Galciv succession directory, minus the data folder(as this changes in size from machine to machine) as I think one of us has installed either the bonus pack and/or the multimedia files.

I have what ever Stardock Centeral updated on my computer. Might be this.

Yup I have done the same and its installed the bonus pack - oops; that's why I asked for the file size/file no.s the bonus pack/mulitimedia and what have you; will show up like a christmas tree LOL

Guys open up SDC and see if it says wether or not the bonus pack and multimedia files are installed - quick and easy - if it gives you the option, install them both
