We were just discussing this in the Fellowship thread. Metaverse scores decay at 5% per month, while personal scores decay at 10%.

Same here. It seems they did some 'server optimizations' in the course of the patch and now I'm able to play on b.n with only minor lag. That's something I haven't been able to do since the open beta and the first couple days the game was out; since then it's been too laggy. So for me it's like a whole new game now.

Almost forgot: If you play on USWest, let me know so you me and nand1 can hook up and play together

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, just stoping by to check how the elections were, but I don't saee any information posted yet, so I will check again tomorrow.

No, it is not right. It just really gets me sometimes that people are encouraged to doctor their games to end a certain way due to the current score set up. I know that can be true of any game, trying to make it go one way or another to certain degrees, but it is really pronounced in the Meta. If there was not so much variability in the end score system, then we would really see how people play. Right now, it turns into a Galciv version of fraud, in the same vein as when someone earns money one way, but then declares it earned another way.

I personally find beyond human to be the longest victory condition. One could have the game wrapped up one of the other three ways (especially if all the victory conditions are on) far faster. But some folks in the old days loved sitting in the corner of a gigantic galaxy punching the turn button a lot and racked up a lot of points from population while slowly going for the tech victory, resulting in a tech victory nerf that continues to plague the system to this day.

Back in my early Galciv days, it took me three attempts to get a tech victory. I never had one and wanted to see it. I did not know back then that turning off culture victory could still flip the last planet and it would be a military victory. The second attempt ran into the same problem, I overdrove the culture and ended up flipping the last two planets right when researching final frontier. The third time I got it right.

Maybe if I continue on my experiment in ultra-pacifism I will lighted up on the culture and play another game through to a tech victory. Sad thing, though, I am truly a culture bomber at heart and am addicted to trade centers.

Well, I have been long-winded enough. So Gerakken the Proud Culture Bomber will sneak out of the Jedi thread for now.

What happened the Amidala is not longer on the list of players for Galciv????????

It seems our suspicions over Amidala's loyalties were correct, do not fear Jedi, it will never happen again.

I wanted to warn you all about this, but I accepted the rule of the majority who insisted that she wanted to stay and time has proven what was said when she got here, now we see the true colors of those who love the empire hopping, I think that this would be a good experience to all of us. So let's keep playing and lets put behind us the past, we should not judge all the people by the actions of one, she came and helped us to be in first place and gave our team hope and the push we needed to move to the top 3, so lets show the other teams that we are not here by a chance but by the attitude and love that all the players have for this empire.

Hmm. Harsh words, considering:

Cotal's imperial record: ANZAC, FOTR, ANZAC, House of Orange, ANZAC, Jedi Republic. Total count: 6.

Mayito7777: CDG, MWC, Jedi Republic, Jedi Academy, Jedi Republic. Total count: 5. Those are just the ones that I'm aware of; my apologies if there were others.

When you speak harshly of "those that love empire hopping," please have the decency to look in the mirror. If someone announces blatantly that they're hopping to play with Metaverse point totals, that's one thing. She claimed otherwise, and so did you. If you apply one standard to yourself, it's hypocritical to hold somebody else to another.

You're assuming that, when she announced that she planned to stay, she was deliberately lying. Prove it. Considering the charming reaction she received when she arrived, and the fact that there's nobody in the Metaverse who was challenging her lead, there are plenty of reasons to explain her departure. Putting it on empire-hopping - when she obviously DIDN'T hop to another empire - is inaccurate at best and mean-spirited at worst.

If this seems out of character or vindictive, I apologize. But what's the point of ripping into someone who's not here to defend herself? Even in its worst times, the Jedi Republic was always a place where people were respected, not attacked.
