Yeah, Galactic Battlegrounds was great! I still play it every once in a while, but GalCiv has consumed me.

You Jedis are a funny bunch. Theres a trench war going on and all you can talk about is SWGB (Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds).

Oh okay. I liked SWGB but I'm hooked on AoM (Age of Mythology): The Titans Expansion.

Those Titans sure are great. Do I smell a story unleashing the Titans? We shall see.

BTW, there is no official understanding between the Jedi Republic and the Evil Empire. However I would like to extend my hand to help, unofficially of course, I see great potiential in a Jedi victory. (Also if you remember in my stories a spent a little time with the Jedi)

DLA crept down the stairs. Not only had he managed to get inside the Jedi Temple but to the stairs which lead to the evilness below. He could hear the voices, singing to an unseen censor the foul stench of evil rose to the upper reaches of the dungeon. When he had reached to bottom he found the Sith standing around the new recruit Terl. Singing and dancing around like a bunch of little girls toward the Force who had long since left their kind. DLA had in say something before these so-called Sith starting running around naked. "Behold!" The Sith stopped, "I am your fallen leader. The Dark Lord of the Sith." They all gasped. "Fear not."
Darth Kyro starting laughing, "Damn DLA. You had us going for there for a second."
"Haha, you guys are so gullible. Pass me a beer." DLA sat down next to Kyro, "C'mon ladies start dancing again."
"This is truly evil...making the newbies dance around."
"Yea Kryo your a real demon."
"Haha, I try."

KEmperor may be off on a solo mission at the moment, but his spies always seem to have an ear to the ground. If he hears you're impersonating him, we might get to see a Pure Evil grudge match. Anybody got any popcorn?

And one more: I played this first one on simple and did fairly well, in my estimation anyway. What should I try next? A higher difficulty or just a bigger map? There are so many settings I am not sure which would be the best.

There may be no official treaty between the Evil Empire and the Jedi, but it is apparent that the dark side is afoot. Spies have also reported seeing Sith Knights and agents of Evil discussing dark secrets in the lonliest corners of Coruscant. Treaties don't have to be official to be existent!

Possibly so, yet one must ask, who is wooing whom....

After my first game and reading some different strategy ideas I have a couple questions. Would I get more points by using the "culture flipping" than the way I do it?

My style the last game was a rather brutal one. Force my people to stay happy with morale enhancers and then military. I researched mostly weapons and armor and then I "culture flipped" with Battle Hammers and Combat Transports. I was in the war party and kept my bonus all the way through.

And then, when Darkness called, I answered and found new doors open up for me and finished my conquest.

"Culture flipping" and Military conquest are the same thing, cultural flipping is considered militray conquest. You could do it via pacific methods by building a starbase and developing all its cultural branches to the top of them and it will become a "Party Palace" AI's cannot resist the temptation od dancing boogie-boogie and they will flip to your side right away, sometimes you have to build more than one starbase but in the long roll it works pretty good.

Does anyone know where is Black Shade and Essex? Have not post a game in a while, are they coming back?

Hmmm, I shall have to give it a try. I have always tended to be highly miltaristic in most strategy type games and they still dance boogie-boogie with phasers being fired at their feet .

It was kind of fun. I had a nice fleet staged at each of the three Drengin systems last night. I was allied with them at the time. I staged a fleet at the last minor. I broke my alliance and took all three Drengin systems in one swoop, nailed the minor and voila the movie started.

I have not completely figured out diplomacy though. I want to work on the extortion end a bit. Yep, I guess I am evil....

Be that as it may, I don't always represent my empire. So the questions is am I acting out of my own interest or the interest of my empire?

Evil will be always evil, even if they disguise themselves as quite sheeps LOL
