Another point is to try to built all the wonders or as many as you can, specially those that increase your cultural influence.

Ah! That is what I am not seeing. I have not gotten to those modules yet.

I am starting a new game tonight so I will see how it goes. As for the wonders, I have started getting more of them. That is one of the things that led to the cultural win I had. I am learning to work those sliders real well The second game yesterday I had four of the nice trade goods. I made sure I got the diplo translators, mostly because I was sick of the AI getting them

As for the Ctrl-N, I don't use it mostly because I just like taking what I am dealt with as I enjoy the challenge. I role play it as if that is what I got, where I was born etc...kind of like we are here on earth right now and we start where we are...

Also try to research the techs that improve your diplomacy levels and trade levels, if the AI start to act then research the red and purple ones (military and hit points).

What I have been trying is to research the diplo and trade stuff, make an ally, and then buy/trade the military stuff. I toss up a few ships so I have some military (based on other events of course).

If I can find a few planets I then set out for more of a conquest approach. If I don't find many, I set my sights on a different approach.

Question on ships: If they are not launched, do they still help in a planet's defense?

If they have defensive capabilities, yes.

Due to my actions causing some of the good players from the Jedi Republic to depart due to the war with the EUROs and consequently the falling to 5th place of the Jedi Republic I am stepping out of the empire that way it would facilitate for those who departed because of me to return and enjoy the empire of which they were part before I came here. Sorry for causing your departure, I am retrieving to create my own empire. (:(

Mayito...stop doing that! Alex said he didn't leave because of you. The only people you're hurting here are the Jedi! Stop worrying about everybody that leaves your empire...it's not always about something you did. Alex wanted to start his own empire. That's it.

He is not the only one that left, there has been others too. Also lately many of the good players have stopped submiting games, many players have not submitted a game since October, almost 2 months. The Jedi Republic it is a good empire, but many of the players don't want to play the game or post here at the forum, just a hand full of them still care about the game, so I am leaving to start an empire where only active players will be allowed, people that really enjoy playing the game and love the challenge of a new game after another.

Not entirely true hey Kryo, since you hopped over to the Jedi. Now if they lost your score as well then they would be back to where they were.

Good to see your wisdom again, Master Qui-Gon. I see that KEmperor put in an appearance recently as well. With the Jedi facing a time of great troubles, it's good to see the old farts (umm, "masters") returning to help the young'uns face the challenge.

It is indeed a shame what happens to the Republic right now, i don't understand why somebody is leaving just because of a couple of "black sheep", or any misunderstood reasons od ideals, realy very disturbing, i have to say!!!

Icho Tolot, have you finished researching the whole tech tree, or just part of it? Also try to enrich the game by downloading some of the mods, or increase the grade of difficulty.
