Hmm, yeah, you're right. On the other hand, the only member of the council without a picture now is Sephlock.

Yes, i noticed that. It's about time we were represented, considering we are a top 10 empire.

Aaaah, you're only saying that because you're on it! :D Welcome back to the Jedi halls, Wombie.

Thank you Wombie. As a neutral honorary member, you are welcome to enter the Dark Quarter of the Jedi halls. Just make sure to knock first, those how haven't in the past have....well...lets just say that unannounced visitors never make the same mistake twice.

Thanks Obi-Wan for the picture. Too bad R2 doesn't have any arms. It makes it kind of hard to swing a saber. He probably should stick to the little "zapper" or maybe have a blaster built in. But I'm not really a slice my enemies in half kind of Jedi anyways. I spend my time spreading my culture and influence onto others to do my bidding. Always in the name of good. I swear ;)

I've been playing tiny/rare/maso and its not that bad. If you've got 2 systems in your sector to their 1, then it's not hard to keep up with tech and military. Trading tech for tech is a must, and I've found the AI will trade you big stuff like Battleship/Dreadnaught if you've got some good techs they don't normally have. Lets say you research only Communications tech at the beginning then they will be asking for Sensors, Adv Dipo, Nano-Freq... One thing I have noticed is if you trade a tech to one AI, the next turn they all have it, so trade same stuff to all of them in one turn. Have the AIs attack each other, mop up races when they are weak, and make sure that no AI gets an edge on you system wise and you'll win. And its even easier to get an Alliance win and get 18k, by just staying alive and being friends with the biggest AI. My only problem with Maso is its like Super High Octane GalCiv :) which isn't always fun.

I thought this was interesting. In my last game, I won a military victory without building a single military ship. One exception was building a transport to take a strategic late game minor, but that's it. Other than that, I only built constructors.

Whats going on Jedi? Tomorrow is Friday, my 'work' from home day...and I don't really have any work to do, soooo, I going to take my chances on another maso and see what happens. How are all my other Jedi?

All your other Jedi appear to be busy with real life, because their not playing many games.

Good news on that front. As I now have a laptop, I'll be able to work on games while I'm in Germany. Internet connectivity is another issue entirely, though; no broadband, and possibly not even dialup, depending on what I find in the hotel. Updates to the JR website may be lagging a bit for awhile.

KEmperor: I have won ALL my maso games without firing a shot in anger or building a combat ship. I play small/ABUNDANT - the diplo/influence line of play can be very interesting. Some of the maso strat guides around have detailed an approach but I'd be happy to outline mine if you're interested. If you turn off culture victory, flipping all the AI's planets counts as a military win.

Yes Dookoo, I have been very busy with real life, but expect a few submissions from the junior sith senator sometime soon.

I always turn off my culture victory. Got to go for the extra points of a military victory.

Sorry, I have been away on a school camping trip that I totaly forgot about last time I was on. The modified Constitution looks great and if there aren't any add-in's I say we're ready to ratify it and get it posted on the website. If you have any questions/concerns or an idea for the Constitution just post here or [email protected] them. :)

Cool. As this thing has been knocking around for a few days without any negative comments, I'll post it on the website this evening. Last chance for amendments - the clock is ticking...

Welcome to our newest Jedi, PiersKazansky. I see you got the server working and were able to join up...

FYI, regarding your question about where to post your persona's backstory. For now, go ahead and post it here if you like - roleplaying is usually a nice break from game strategy questions. If a few people decide to post backstories here, I'd be happy to post 'em on the JR website at http://www.angelfire.com/theforce/jedi_republic .

P.S. Imperial - er, "Republic" - naval officers are always welcome. As Tarkin has been AWOL of late, Admiral Sherbert can use all the help he can get keeping those Star Destroyers flying. :HOT:

Welcome to the Jedi, PiersKazansky. If you wish, you can have command of a Star Destroyer.

Any other Jedi wanting command of a ship can have one, too; I've got plenty of ships. ;) Tell me if your interested. :HOT:

I'm confused, my last game says 'Lost', but I won it.

Also, trying to resubmit the game with a higher score is not working.
I also had a problem on Friday. I was playing a game, beat it with an Alliance victory, submitted it, and it showed up in my Metaverse profile, then restored a saved version of the same game and beat it with a Military victory, submitted it, and the Alliance victory disappeared and was replaced with the Military victory. I thought we could submit a game twice and that was it. Very strange indeed. Anyone have any ideas?

Also, congratulations to all the Jedi Knights! We have surpassed the 1 million point mark! Woohoo!!

Jedi Journal, page 30: There was discussion on the merits of turning off cultural victory and surpassing the million point barrier. Though the million point barrier was a cause of great celebration, there was concern among those who were not full Jedi in that a military victory gained in this way would seem to lead to the Dark Side. Though it may be the duty of a Jedi Knight to fight unrepenting evil to the end, would it not be a duty to receive someone who willingly forsakes their waywardness and affirms the ways of the Republic, i.e. a galaxy that culture flips to the Jedi cause being treated as a culture victory? Many empires have quarreled with this question as of late in this new Metaverse of uncertainty, and all have given way to the temptation of the Dark Side to crush their foes in military conquest. Besides a very few desperate players holding onto this ideal of cultural victory being accepted as such, can the Jedi be the last hope?

(Edit: Gerakken's ideals do not mix well with others when he is drinking. Never the less, it is a valid concern. Full Jedi should correct any misinterpretations of this honorary member's basic knowledge of the ways of the Force.)
