Maybe it would be a good idea to post a how-to once you finally get it running smoothly. It would help others that want to set one up make sure they are ready before they start. Seems like you've run into and are solving problems and your advice to others would be beneficial.

I hope you get it on track. I have read through the other one that Sirian posted about. These are good guides for everyone as you can see different tactics and methods being used.

Good luck! I know I will be reading your exploits as you report on the game. :D

Sources inside the Jedi Republic report that although they are feigning interest in a succession game, where several players share turns playing the game, the real tactic is to sneak up on the Mid-Western Confederation. While the farmers are unaware, the Jedi have crept up to within 160,000 points leading stock in farm equipment to drop substantially. If the current trend continues, battles may erupt within the next week between the MWC and Jedi.

Terl, Theoden it is good to know people have been reading our game, we will have the first rounds of our new game up within the next few days I hope, I will post an article on the Jedi Website at some point tonight on how to get a succession game to work properly, possibly a bit premature .....

Kit, I've just looked at the other threads, is there an empire you haven't raided today ;)

Icho/MBM this is for you as you missed the discussion between Arclite and myself on how to avoid the problems we encountered last time :(, Arclite agreed (I think?? - if not please say so) to be our "Filemaster" so we all end up with exactly the same stuff, Arclite could you e-mail MBM and Icho with the files we chose yesterday?

First install a second version of GalCiv, then upgrade it to version 1.13, then add the memory patch (sent by arclite) and finally add the mod files (sent by arcite) and we'll be ready to go

MBM could you post your e-mail address please? All we need now is to chat about our Race setup screen and strategy, any preferences, I'm fairly flexible? Please post back quick so I can get the game started, am raring to go :) :)

PS We are going to play four years at a time now and if you want to play our original succession game I think I can fix it, may take a while though so let me know.

I already got a second "flat" installation, waiting for the mods.
We may start with the same setting, but increase the galaxy size, please

Have you added the bonus pack coz that will have an effect as well, are you OK with the race picks we used last time (+50% dip, +5% PQ, +10% trade and +10% Econ)?

You can either use a program like Hypersnap DX or press the Print Screen button and Alt-Tab to the desktop then paste it into an art package, you can send it to me in any format as I will convert it and fit it to the article and bits before I send it to Kryo, GIF's is best though makes it easier for me. :)
