Ah, the promise of equality by abolishing the established order, whether it takes an economic, governmental, and/or religious face. It sounds tempting at times, I admit. I just think I am too addicted to routine and hierarchy sometimes, whether it be organized chaos or chaotic organization. :)

Good luck on your new venture. We always need some fresh blood to give the more dominant powers in the Meta a run for their money.

Anton it seems you got your first recruit.I like the idea about mother earth and have a little understanding
about a couple of the previous cults/orgs listed on your home page.I have been looking for an empire that needs some help but I started new job and will probably travel alot so I dont know how often I will be submitting. As far as age I'm 40 but have played games as long as I can remember.

So heres to the new brotherhood of Pangaea.

I see we moved up to 28 spot.
I also do mods and such so if you need help, let me know. LOL

I think you need to add the link for the web site into your first post.

I'm going to try to run with the Dionysian Cult. Not that good at writing stories but I'll give it a try and when I get something worked up I'll post it here. The ancient god of wine and grapes if I remember correctly.Sounds like a party waiting to happen. We'll get all those Drengin drunk on good wine a kindly remove them from their seat of power!Covertly of course :HOT:

Many of you have not met me so let me introduce myself.
I am Ambasador Eradicus, representative of Sol or more to the point THE PANGAEA COOPERATIVE.

The details of one of my first missions follows if you care to listen a moment.

PART ONE

As the sun bore down on the Dregnin homeworld, we all stood about nervously as today was the day.

We planned on offering the Drengin race a seat at our table for Galactic dominance.A sort of loose alliance. But, as everyone knew this was a plot within a plot from the onset of diplomatic relations.Everyone in the galaxy was often fearful of the Drengin and for good reason.Their warships could be seen patrolling most parts of the galaxy and we knew that they stood in our way.

So,as Ambasador of this region, it was my duty for PanGaea to covertly draw their attention elsewhere as our members from all parts of this region secretly plotted the downfall of the Dregnin way of life. With
them out of the way nothing could stop us,even those pesky pirates who insisted upon boarding our freighters from time to time,We'll have to deal with them later, as the first part of the plan was
underway.Failure was not an option. But we all knew that one slip up and we'd end up in their furnaces.

As their Premiere approached, we steeled ourselves for in a matter of days this would hopefully lead to the end of them.

We greeted the Premiere and went inside one of the specially prepared party palaces that we had delivered to them the day before as a way to build trust.Inside were dancers and jugglers performing.Stewards are milling about serving the Drengins a rare and delicious blend of our finest wines. For in our last encounters they had a weakness for good ol Sols finest wines.I knew it would be only a matter of time before they demanded Earth as their own,to become their personal supply of wine.

I didn't want to think about that possibility, because my family was still there. So we had to strike first and swiftly.

While we had sent several freighters to many of their systems, the fleet of constructors wasn't far behind. We had special decoy patrols out there as well hoping to draw their warships away from the areas
we had surveyed only months before. If all goes well not a shot will be fired and we will have rid the universe of a terrrible evil,Not that evil is wrong of course as our Emporer has been known to not exactly play by the rules himself.Who's to say whats fair in love and war?

Back to the matter at hand.I shouldn't let my guard down around here. For this could be my last mission if I'm not careful.

As the evening went onward and much small talk was made,it was time to come to the point.I've been watching closely as to when I should signal my men to begin execution of project"ERASER".It seemed that
moment had finally arrived.Cautiously I signalled to LT.Predicus that he should signal the fleets in space to make their move.

Whats going on was heard somewhere in the background as wave after wave of constructors and warships approached from the horizon.I tried to excuse myself and slip out the back, but wait, why are the Dregnin
Elite troops guarding the exits.Have they discovered our plans? This can't be!I know things have been tense since landing, but has someone slipped up or is there a spy in our ranks? Many things flashed thru my mind,my family, the oceans of Earth, my friends.Could all this be imagined?

The time had come and I know that something wasn't right.Could those damn pirates have found information and sold it to the Drengin in exchange for free passage thru their systems? As soon as I could get clear of this I needed to send a deep space message back to Sol for further orders.

I needed to stay calm and figure this out.Maybe I'm letting my imagination run away with me because of the utmost importance of this mission.Maybe I had alittle too much to drink as well and its clouding my judgement. For the sake of PanGaea I must fulfill my
duties as assigned.

As time went by, I don't think the Drengin had noticed or possibly thought that this was another shipment coming in.Many of them had fallen into a drunken stupor that I hoped clouded their reasoning.Either way I needed to excuse myself saying something about
an important matter had come up concerning the Torians and managed to make it back to my ship.

Earth had dispatched the good ol Hero to retrieve me as the conquest of the Drengin was just beginning.

PART TWO

The return flight home

As I settled into my quarters onboard the Hero, my mind thought back to the events of the past couple of days.I couldn't believe that the Drengin were falling apart faster than I could've concieved from the start.A pleasant day indeed.I should return home a hero and hopefully the Emporer will promote me to something a little less dangerous in coming days.

I was jotting down all the relevant facts as well as I could recall when I dozed off into a deep slumber.

Screams and utterly horrible images flooded my cerebral cortex as I lay there in lala land.Dreams so vivid that I almost believed that I was there as the Drengins were in their death throes.Being aborbed and converted to slaves to help us win by being the raw labour that we so desperately needed to produce the very vessel which had consumed their empire.Yes,the dreaded constructor.Although this vehicle is relatively slow and powerless to speak of, it does the job rather nicely.

An alarm sounded somewhere as I was awakened rather rudely.
I heard someone holler out "PIRATES" and off to my post I ran.
Knowing of their adacity to attack freighters and such,I never imagined they would try anything on a capital ship let alone a survey vessel of the power of this one! I knew they didn't stand a chance if they wanted to inspect this one, for the Hero is something of a legend on Earth. For this vessel almost single handedly wiped out most of the Yor's fleet couple years back. Her name had resounded thruout the galaxy as a vessel of science but one that could back up her words if needed. No one dared mess with this ship so I felt safe enough unlike back on the Drengins planet.

As we peered out the side windows a small fleet of pirate corvettes pulled up alongside and wanted some action.Hey that looks like Ralph Bloodnut the Patrol Commander of one of the pirate squadrons. He seemed to have made a small name for himself in these parts.

At least they aren't trying to board us,they just wanted to know if any remnants of the Dregnin fleet were about.I guess they had cleanup duty and were trying to get their hands on any last remaining vessels they could before we finished exterminating the pesky rodents.

I'll have to note this.We could just wipe out these few old corvettes now and not worry about them any more, but we had more pressing matters to deal with.I know that the Torians have been stinking up parts of the galaxy near us and decided to let the pirates go with a scrap of information.Maybe they will remember this and let our freighters thru unharmed next time unlike that incident with the Torians awhile back.

I returned to my quarters so I could finish getting some much needed sleep before we would arrive back on Sol.

Welcome to the party Ambassador! You are doing a fine job for the cooperative. With your permission I would like to log your story on our home site at some point.

If you are interested there could be a place for you on the senate. However there is a matter of secret initiation. It makes sure entry into the inner circle more special. I won't post about it here, because if I did it wouldn't be secret. Instead you will have to email me at mailto:[email protected] but only if you are interested.

"Ah, the promise of equality by abolishing the established order, whether it takes an economic, governmental, and/or religious face."

But thats the secret, we haven't abolished an established order, merely subverted it. Rather than abolishing capitalism, government and religious authority, we turn them in to yet more play things to fill our lives with pleasure! And who mentioned anything about equality? (Okay, maybe some of the more feminist links on the page did, but I don't have to agree with everything my references say) Nature is far from equal. What we need, and what I beleive humankind is beginning to awaken to, is a philosophy of a 'survival of the most pleasurable'. If we don't enjoy something, then we won't do it and that meme will die out if no-one finds it fun.

Part three

When I awoke the next day, there were several transmissions waiting for me from the emperor of PanGaea in my incoming s-mail(space mail).
Things with the Torians are starting to look bleak as they have also heard about the fall of the Drengins and are starting to feel spunky.Cunning they are, gotta stay one step ahead of them .The Torians had already invaded some worlds just a couple of sectors from Earth and had made some snide remarks in my absence about wanting Sol one way or another. The message went on to say that even the Alterians had made some progress technology wise and felt ready to make a challenge for our part of the universe. One bully down and still those aliens thought that we would just roll over and play dead.Hadn't we shown them anything in the past 12 months?

We made a stop to visit our friends the Alexians on our return trip to pick up supplies and to show good will towards their people and small nation.Yes we would also trade some techs to help them protect their planets from the evil Torians who seemed to be eyeing them as a stepping stone to Earth. Our two peoples had grown a close relationship over the past years and needed each other for trade. We stopped just short of an alliance as we felt that we could barely defend our own spot in the galactic metaverse. We didn't need to be dragged into any unwilling wars quite yet.We were close but our aging fleet was in the middle of a drastic overhaul. Those new sectors we inherited from the Drengin had pushed us past our point to really
muster anything that could pass as a war fleet.Just patrolling alone, this new expance of space was really all we could handle.Just hope those aliens gave us time to recover adequately before anything broke
loose and we had to counter attack.Basically we were stretched beyond our means.A slight over sight by those that made the plans.Think back to the early twentieth century where the USA conquered Iraq and you
get my drift.

I personally liked the Alexians. They had a caring about them much as Earth did back in the early days of our starting to colonize the skies.Besides these guys always seemed to have cash, something thats alittle short at the moment. We need this to help fund our new fleet of Battle Hammers that was taken from the Drengin when we finally took their last planet.

As I was staring out my portal I could see that we were approaching Sol-V and knew by this time tomorrow I would be standing in front of our Emperor.I began to realize that I haven't seen/been to my homeworld for almost six years. My children probably won't recognize
me as I had grown a full beard on the trip home and the grey in my hair didn't make me any younger either. Is this what a diplomat should look like? What would my beloved wife think?Maybe I'll check the ships
store and see if there is any Grecian hair color for men left.

As we approached I noticed many freighters from all around the galaxy coming and going.Wait, something about that one looks different.Did someone design a new ,faster freighter? Those ones looked huge compared to ours. And that symbol is one I've never seen before. Some new minor must a popped up somewhere and decided to get on our good side.Hmm, maybe a new invasion method? That would be perfect cover as
noone bothers to look at the manifest to see whats inside other than pirates.HAH now wouldn't that be sweet!!Just load up one with our finest troops and let those pirates board!! We'd have to have some new battle Hammers just out of sensor range and zap, a merry little band of cutthroats would dissappear in a blink of an eye.Yes this might just work. That is something I will discuss with the planners at my next opprotunity. That might work once or twice but then if they are too stupid to realize that they have been had, it might work a third time as well. That would cripple their fleet for a time. The plans for the new BH could handle some of their Dreads for the time
being. That TRI-STRONIUM STEEL we just purchased from the Alexians should help.

A voice over the intercom"Prepare to land on Earth in 24 hours".

Senator Anton relaxes in the hospital wing of his secret PanGaea HQ, Earth. There he his wound is attended by Altarian nurses who joined the PanGaea cause after frequent visits to the Terrorstar Party Palace that did a tour through their sector of the galaxy. Even wounded the secret leader of the PanGaea Cooperative knew how to enjoy life. Now point wasting time cursing the assassin or the toothpick that put him here. He'd be back in action soon enough.

Right now he was looking forward to meeting Ambassodor Eradicus, who so far had done more to further PanGaea's cause than even himself. Anton needed men (and women) like this on his side to make PanGaea a success. An inner circle of PanGaea elite would need to be formed, but entry into the circle would require an initiation, and only those prepared for that would be admitted. Anton had high hopes for Eradicus. Time would tell whether his hopes were justified...

I was just checking to see how you guys are doing. I'm still browing through empires. I only got some time to check on forum two three times a day for 10 minutes or so. :p

By the way how long do you guys take to finish a game? For me it usually takes 3 hours of play for at least two days to complete tiny abundant loose cluster game(difficulty don't make much difference) and 4 hours of play for at least three days to complete normal abundant loose cluster game.
Hmm, I haven't really been timing myself, and I still haven't played that many games yet. Many of my games on larger maps (which is where I have the most fun) take all day to complete. I usually waste one day of my weekend doing that, or a couple evenings during the week plus part of a weekend day. We're a bit busy at work at the moment so I'm working extra hours than normal. Makes a difference...

Order with a credit card and get 10% off your first shipment!

Sorry, it's a bit hard to see much of the logo when it's shrunk down like it is here - it looks fine on the empire-page, but. Maybe you could make the red and green lines on the stars a bit thicker?

[Btw, Bloodnut sends his regards. He's flattered you remembered him. :) ]

I was wondering about that. I think they are thick enough on the main empire home page, but maybe I could make a special 32x32 version for the metaverse.

I think we can do business with such fine pirates as yourselves. Our main party palace is located on our Terrorstar. It is the party of the galaxy, the only party where partygoers can watch live the destruction of useless star systems with no inhabitable planets... :CONGRAT:

As for payment, I'll clear it with the Terrorstar commander and he should be able to make a direct transfer out of Terrorstar funds.

Hi Berserk I can usually finish tiny rare in about 4 or 5 hours,Gigantics usually about 2 days if all goes well or 16-20 hours most difficulties.trying first maso(small, rare, loose) and so far so good couple years into it.Picks populist party, I think 40 influence,50 diplomatic

Berserk we need a good/chaotic good character for our empire to help with story line.I believe Anton is going to do evil,me the nuetral and someone else the good so that story has even keel to it.I know anton has a story line of some sort kinda worked out but he would need to give you some detail as to the direction of the new empire.I'm kinda thinking about something along the lines of a coup inside illuminati with PanGaea as the beneficiary or something like that.Something to think about.I followed the break up of illuminati and hope you think about coming aboard.I believe we three could give top dogs run for their money as long as things work out in our favor.(They quit submitting for about a month!!)Naw, that wouldn't be any fun.I want them to see us sneaking up on them and then have that helpless feeling they can't stop it from happening :HOT:

Anton ever play warzone 2100? I think the symbol is very similar, but been awhile since I played it.We could something along lines of each tip represents one of the alignments in the game. With the center the heart of PanGaea or the Emperor. Each side has responsibility to the center. Kinda like ring of protection.

Quack maybe you could just return all the items from the manifest
from the last time ya'll boarded our freighters uninvited!Or maybe for 50% discount we could turn our cheek when you pass thru our soon to be spot on the metaverse. All trade goods get 60%
off.Or maybe I'll discuss with the Emperor about sending that terrorstar your way!!But peace and harmony are preferred so as not to upset the natural balance of nature. After all its a big universe.

luvly. can the ANZAC 'PUBLICANS park a franchise on your new Love Boat?

;)

Unfortunately, I can't play favourites. GROSS is an Equal Opportunity Plunderer, and all targets are fair game. If you feel you've been hit too much (or not enough), feel free to contact your local GROSS representative.

If you want a treaty, you ought to speak to my boss. I only handle gambling and entertainment. :)

I'm not familiar with Warzone 2100. Yes its true that the PanGaea Cooperative is intended to be actively multi-alignment, however, this does not mean that members will be limited to only developing the side of PGC that corresponds to their own overall morallity.

At some point I'm going to do some sketches of various goings on in the Terrorstar Party Palace...
Evil Steve, we'd be more than happy to have an ANZAC franchise on our boat, bar, shop and office space on the Terrorstar are let at very competative prices, however all profits are taxed at the current PGC rate. This is relatively low at the moment to keep our citizens moral up and prevent ILeague rebelions...
