I'm running 1.13 which has a known CTD bug on the tech sharing UP issue. There's a work around that can be implemented but I've played it successfully without crashing. Autosave every turn if paranoid.

I should be back soon myself. Still going strong at 15 I see. Lots of changes in the metaverse since I last got a chance to look.

Whew! I just submited a 14k game that raised my score by 666 points. Is it a sign? I think it's a sign that I've played too many games in this monthly block, and should probably get out more.

Its so frustrating to post a personal high score and have only a fraction of it count towards your metaverse score! Maybe its Stardock's 'healthy user' policy to stop us sitting in front of our screens and get us out and about

That isn't a bad policy, actually. Now that the invisible ship bug is being fixed I just know that one Saturday I'll glance at my clock and realize that I've been playing for six hours.

There was a game for the Super Nintendo called Earthbound, and when you'd been playing it for a long time your character would get a call on his cell phone from his dad suggesting that he should take a break. I like that. That was a great game.

I have a very "hands-off" approach to leadership. By which I mean, AntonChanning is currently doing as good a job as leader as I probably would. (Note to people from the future looking through archives of old threads: Anton's post on 1/19/2004 is the last I've heard of him.) Back when the empire forum was created I thought we should have a thread there, but from this thread's activity I figured a 2 post thread in with the thousand post monsters would just look pathetic. :notsure:

Well after a long hiatus(vacation)Eradicus returns to look at his crumbling empire.He ponders if all can be salvaged or would it be better to to move on and search for a new frontier or to rebuild his homeworld.He is also wondering what happened to his fellow mates.Did they succumb to the evil in the universe or are they thriving in some distant land?

I read some new articles and it looks to me,its worth d/l to try.

I think it is good. Also, if you get AP you will be able to play the betas of GC2.

I enjoyed the campaign though some of the missions had me cursing with frustration at the difficulty....still it has to be a challenge. Haven't played many games for a while (distracted by Rome: Total War) but keeping up with developments on GC2
