Yes noticed that. He joined them a while ago. Although he has a good score and it would be have been cool to have him on our side, I had a feeling it wouldn't happen. Anyway, my first month block is nearly over, (assuming its a month from my first score submission) so I should be able to increase my score significantly (and thus our score) next time round...

Just noticed also, according to Bakka's weekly intelligence report, their are seven 'dead' or 'sinking' empires above us in the top 25. Shouldn't be long before we are able to take them on, even by ourselves...

Just seen the weekly report by Bakka and looks like with some luck we could be in top 20 before months end.
Looks like 4 dead empires in front will keep sinking and we'll keep rising.

Just downloaded new xpack and haven't really seen allot of difference yet.Planets bigger,I like the new tech tree listings but haven't had time to see all new improvements yet.Did see some new anomalies and events.

This new job is starting to wear me out.Haven't had a day off in almost two weeks and very little play time as of yet.Going out of town few days next week and probably won't get to this site for a week til I get back.I need a laptop to take with me.I think by Christmas I'll get one.

Thanks for mentioning my score.Took a week to get that one game in,instead of 6 or 7 hours.Started new one last nite and hope maybe this weekend to get one or two games done.

I'm still getting an error posting messages though. It seems to be when the page refreshes after the message is posted.

I see an asp error concerning a connection timing out in action.asp .

Bad error trapping, there should be a more friendly error page for the public, only the programmers should see that kind of debugging information. Of course, asp uses vbscript mostly, and that is an aweful language to do error trapping in. I know, I had to program that stuff myself until a year ago, when we started upgrading the system to asp.net and c#.

Last game I submitted just put us in 24th place on the empire list.Don't know if I will get one in tomorrow.

Well done in getting us out of the immediate 'drop' zone.

My challenging game didn't go too well, so I've had to abandon it. My other game is going well though, but its on a gigantic map so is taking a while. I am ahead economically, technologically and in population. My military is rather weak, but that is deliberate to keep my maintenance down, and I could easilly catch up with in a few rounds in case of war.

At the moment I think I'm still only holding my own on the lowest edge of 'normal', so maybe attempting a 'challenging' game was a little premature for me.

I've also been rather busy this weekend looking after my daughter. Have you seen the film 'Spirited Away'?
We went out to the cinema to see it, and it was well weird. Loved every minute of it.

Anyway, next step is 23 and Fnord. Very Discordian. We need 4744.4 points to jump them. Then we'll have to take on Imperia Galactica, unless that area of the board changes any before we get there...
