Welcome to the Fellowship of the Ring Empire Thread - The Sequel. :)

Don't you have enough people in your empire that are in need to steal the few people another empire has, sheeshhhhhhhhhhh, what you all need to do is to get all those who are sitting doing nothing and bring them back to action and stop getting my partner drunk trying to convince him to desert me. ;)

Still quite delusional, aren’t we? No one has asked Terl to defect, although we'd certainly welcome him. Perhaps someone/something else is causing Terl to ponder his situation.

Have you considered merging with FotR? We could look into the possibility of a council seat for you (not up to me) and you and your overlords would be part of the greatest empire in the Metaverse!

Just a thought. :HOT:

Terl has returned after having found a nice packet of pipeweed. He starts to enter the Prancing Pony but hesitates when he spies a man wearing a white toga freeing a stone troll from a rather large sack over near the woodline. He snickers as the troll tries to backhand the white clad man. The troll scampers off into the forest and the man clad in white leaves.

Terl walks into the Pony and spies Greldon in the corner. "Lo, Greldon, I have returned. Any seats over there?" he shouts as he wades through the press of men, hobbits, and the occasional dwarf.

(Just checking in after I posted a game :) I set out to win without firing a shot and actually did it. I only built 7 military craft and they never left orbit. Only colonizers and constructors went out. Just a silly challenge to myself and, granted, only on normal. It was a good way to learn more of the game's nuances anyway.)

A seat, a Torian Tornado and a large mead chaser ... been savin it for ya! :CONGRAT: You just missed Seeker. He came in, and without saying a word, dumped a stone troll out of a sack he was carrying, dodged an attempted backhand by the very angry troll, then he turned, scowled and pointed at me while muttering something under his breath, then stomped out. As Seeker left, the angry troll shouted, "I don't even look like a Psychlo, ya damned @#^!!!

Yikes, does anyone think that the pentagram empire icon for Spec Forces seem more suitable for the Evil Empire? That does look evil.

Greldon, I need a good long break after playing the game for 8 months but rest assured that I will be back playing once the Altarian Prophecy is out.

Too bad the SC game didn't work out for you, Seeker Master.

The Fellowship has traditionally welcomed all comers with open arms even if their stay is temporary.

From our history, it does seem that at the times of our greatest need (eg. during the great conflicts with the Undead and the Pirates), many will rise and join us in our struggle. :)

I'm sure you do, as anyone would. Enjoy the break from Galciv, rest and refresh knowing we anxiously await your return. :)

I don't know of a symbol that's more evil than a pentagram! :notsure:

"Not quite," Terl said with an evil grin. "I've been doging him for a while as he dashes about from one reality to another."

Terl tosses back the drinks and hollers for more. "And bring some food with it this time," he bellows.

(I am rereading the book and I am thinking, Terl really does not belong with a little happy faced blue icon ;) I may have to change my nick. He really is quite the nasty SOB. I'd forgotten; been a long time and stuff waters down in your memory.)

Ray I tried the game, but the thing about mergin fleets and mergin people with the ships itg is kind of complicated, I like the game do, kind of interesting.

Everyone knows that. We all use the :) to show we are kidding, or the ;)

"And bring a drink for this guy too," Terl bellows to the serving girl. "But water it down a bit...no, a lot!" :)

Only other thing that would come to mind is a swastika. I don't like the SF new logo either. It just doesn't convey what I think of when I read Special Forces. (Maybe I was in the Army too long) The new one is sort of creepy :notsure:

looks like alien vomit pizza to me....

Red pieces of alien flesh
Green pieces of alien flesh
yellow pieces of alien flesh

all on a crispy base

LOL

It's lava pizza, actually ;) Yes Ray, I thought the Evil guys would jump at it - I put it up just for them!

Wombat saw the drunken remnants of the Empire of the Light stagger off down the muddy street outside the Prancing Pony. He took the opportunity to sneak down the alleyway and into the back entrance of their franchise building just near the Fellowship castle.

The ground floor room was ablaze with light...so much that Wombat had to shield his small squinty eyes against the glare. He managed to make his way across the room to a door that led to the cellar. How did the EoTL create these light sources with so much power? Cautiously, he crept down the stairs...and heard squeaking coming from a room directly across from the stairs. Opening the door...Wombat gasped in horror. Chained to a series of treadmills....were dozens of mice, all running furiously on treadmills, generating the wattage to power the EoTL light sources. Mouse labour! The Iron Paw began to clench in spasm....Wombat knew this was a job...for Special Forces!

You guys might be interested to read this short interview with Paul Dennen (aka Merakon), developer of Star Chamber.

http://www.ferrago.co.uk/story/2732

He ends off by stating his admiration for Stardock. :)

When I spoke to him about Galciv a few weeks back, he did say he wanted to try out the game once he has more time on his hands this year.

Lets play guys, wake up call, the voice of the Seeker Master rumbled across the Poncy Bar, what are you doing sleeping when your enemies are attacking, get up, go to your consoles, it is show time!!!!

Lates breaking news, Special (Evil) Forces takes control of the board again

Special Forces Wild Wombat 16 811 3925925
Fellowship of the Ring Ray the Wanderer 78 1036 3907492
European Alliance _G-Force_ 141 1111 3358370

The bar is officially closed. And with a blast of his ex-Jedi sword he destroyed the bar to ruins, walking slowly away from the flames a brief smile crossed the face of the old Seeker Master.

I really don't think you should be trying to destroy the Prancing Pony :notsure: This is one of Terl's favorite places to carouse as it is also for others.

To FoTR: Sorry about the damage. I will send supplies and money to help rebuild. :)
If you want to rebuild the place you must change the name. Call it the Terl house of blues. ;)
Terl has flown in with a cargo ship of supplies and construction equipment. The Prancing Pony has been quickly rebuilt to its original specs (Thanks Bob Villa for doing that show a couple years back. The pictures and blueprints were handy!).

Local law enforcement has been notified and a warrant issued for the culprit, a Mr Seeker Master. Local attorney, Elliot C Baggins from Bag End (formerly representing the Sackville Bagginses in their suits against Bilbo), has filed suit to reclaim damages and punitive damages from Mr S Master. Tom Bombadil is currently hot on the trail of the perpetrator.

Hmmm...destroying the bar in the Pony is nigh on an act of war. But, we'll let it slide, cause we're just that nice! LOL

I'm having a 'great' week (read sarcasm). My daughter was diagnosed with Asthma yesterday, which explains why she's had so many problems. Nothing really serious, actually. We just have to give her breathing treatments with a nebulizer. Then, this morning, I hit a deer while on my way to work. Yes, when you live in the South, you have to watch out for those $%@#%! animals running out in front of you. >:(

Anyway, enough of the bad news! I haven't played a Gig/Maso in a while, so I went ahead and started one last night. My monthly block should reset tomorrow so a 60,000 point submission should add to our points total nicely. :)

Terl, you'd certainly be welcomed back in the Fellowship, as would everyone from the Empire of The Light. :)

Well please notice that I did bring in all the requisite supplies to restore the Pony to its rightful state and all at my personal expense. I am cooperating with Middle Earth Law Enforcement personnel and hopefully they will bring the culprit to justice ;)

Hee hee :D This ought to get Seeker going...then he'll be Seething Master ;)

Actually, after thinking on the empire situation, a large empire of regular posters can compete with the smaller maso only empires. I think if empires did merge it may liven it up for those that are becoming disillusioned with posting. Sort of like a rebel alliance or a federation of empires.... :)
