Cari Rules!
More oddities...
1) Auto Survey is not quite working. Only seems to be able to target anomalies visible -- that is, in scanner range of one of my ships. AIs are getting all the goodies now! LOL
2) Remark on the Good vs. Evil Scenario... Note that making your Team buddies more powerfull increases the difficulty. As long as you can keep their influence from swallowing you, I don't think they're really such a threat. Plus, you can ally with the "evil" side as well as your "good" buddies, thus getting alliance victory. Perhaps cross-team alliances should be prevented?
3) When in the diplomacy screen, right clicking on a trade good for more info does... nothing.
4) Diplomacy screen: Right click info on a Starbase does not indicate it's upgrades or, most importantly, whether it is on a trade good. It is a little annoying to have to hunt down the ones you want to trade for, and then come back.
5) Diplomacy screen: This is an little old annoying thing, and it's not easy to replicate, I hope I'm not the only one who sees this. Sometimes when messing around in the techs, where the program thinks the point of the mouse is lags a few pixels below the point of the mouse. I have to move a lot of techs around to cause this, eg, selecting them all in the top, then selecting them in the bottom (so they go back to the top) will sometimes cause it when I go back to the techs in the upper area. Moving the slider on a large list in the upper area can do it to. A commonality I see is that the currently selected tech in the top is not in the viewable area.
6) Tech Tree Viewer: Right clicking on a tech brings up the selected tech, instead of the one I clicked on.
7) Tech Tree Viewer: Needle in Haystack here. I saw a tech which
did not have scroll bars enabled, even though it needed it. Later I noticed that all the other techs I was looking at
did have scroll bars when they needed them. So everyone should pay attention to those scroll bars from now on
8) Rally Point Evilness: As noted elsewhere, these mess up your save game. I think they also make the game a little unstable so it will CTD eventually, as I have a save game where I kept loading, messing around with rally pts, and eventually crashing (or saving, and not being able to get back in). I also found that renaming a Rally point (Strike Point Alpha!) and/or changing it's mission to Fleet (Kill the Yor!) appears to break it. I tried setting ships to move to Strike Point Alpha, they would move one turn, then the next turn, ask me to give them movement orders.
Sorry for all the work Cari, really I am!
