I'm sorry to hear it was not a perfect fit.... I know you made the best decision for your family and Beau though,

Gideon~ She stays with us during church, but I will think of that when she get older... Thanks for the advice. Dabe- Unfortunatly the area we live in does not offer a diaper service, otherwise I would be all over that! Texas~ They sure don't make it easy for parents, do they? Thanks for the compliment. Furry~ I agree that once you figure in water and energy usage it is not that great, but I feel it is better than more trash,

In the 8 weeks since we have had our daughter we have gone through an unbelievable amount of diapers. Probably close to 500 if not more. The thought of all those going to a landfill and polluting the earth disgusts me. Not olny that but little Jayna has already had two minor diaper rashes on account that the diapers don't "breathe". So we are making the swit

It is amazing, "things" don't seem to matter anymore. Having a baby changes your whole mentality. My whole life is for her now, she is the missing piece to my puzzle.

My husband and I have decided that it would be better if I did not go back to work. I think Jayna and our family will benefit more by me staying home. I was only going to work three 4 hour shifts a week. But Jayna was going to go to my parents, Jay's parents or my Grandma's or sisters during my work time. It is a lot of work to get her from place to place, p

We went to the Minnesota state fair yesterday with my sister and her boyfriend. What a fun time! Jayna spent most of the time riding in the mei tai and sling worn by me or my sister. We brought the stroller which ended up working well to carry all our stuff, even though Jayna didn't ride in it much. The best part was the food. I had Kettle corn, beef jerky, f

SushiK: My husband is secure in his role as a father. I don't make him do anything. He is supportive of my decisions and I am of his. He doen't feel less manly by showing he loves his daughter.

LW, you are entitled to your opinion, but I have to disagree. I really believe strongly in attachment parenting.(AP) AP advises wearing your baby. Jayna gets worn by more people then just me. My hubby, mom and sister often wear her. She is a very content girl. Babies learn positive things by there caregivers always being there for them. I think the only thing a baby learns by self soothing is that there isn't someonethere to take care of them, that the

I have a new passion. Baby wearing. Little Jayna just loves to be worn. I am now the proud owner of a moby wrap, a 4 peas baby sling and a freehand mei tai asian baby carrier. I may buy another pretty sling next week. There are so many options for wonderful ways to wear your baby. I still want to get a pouch and a woven wrap... So much fun!<!-- Ju-Anchor-Foot

In Jr. High, instead of sending us to summer camp, my parents used to send us out on service trips with church. We served food in downtown Minneapolis and worked on habitat for humanity, we built one room houses out of concrete in Juarez, Mexico. We always came back a lot more appreciative of what we had. I think we should show our children what the world is really like.

We had a horrible experience this morning. As I was cutting baby Jayna's little fingernails, she wiggled and mama cut her finger! There was a little blood and a lot of tears. (Although I was crying longer then her.) I can't believe I accidently hurt my precious girl. I am the worst mom ever. <!-- Ju-Anch

It seems like just yesterday I was whining that the summer was going by so slow. All my focus was on the fact my baby daughter had not arrived yet. What a whirlwind. I can't believe the summer is almost over! Pretty soon my husband will be back to teaching and I will have to start back at work. (part time) Jayna will be spaending three afternoons a week at gr

There was a wonderful article on the meth problem in newsweek a few weeks back. It's just so sad!

Why are my pets so naughty? Yesterday the puppy chewed on the ibooks power cord and when I went to pick it up I got zapped. Ouch, my arm hurt the rest of the night! Now the cord needs to be replaced. Extra expense #1. I had a meeting tonight, and I came home to find my breast pump chewed up and across the kitchen. AGAIN!!! UGH! This time the damn cat
