fuzzy, with regard to the USB card, i have tried different PCI slots. i have also tried both win98 and win2k - the machine is setup with a dual boot. under win98 the machine boots, but the drivers wont detect the card on install *puzzled* under win2k either the machine boots, but then you cannot log in since the keyboard and mouse dont work or the machine simply never finishes booting
