could you open up two xpstuff.xp files next to each other? take one from a skin that converts (aquarium did in 0.9) and one from a skin that wont convert, and see which components are missing? i suspect that any helpful posts on the newsgroup would be appeaciated.

craeonics no speak English /me no spell English does this mean that between me and crae we make a whole american?
last night i managed to get one smartbutton working on the XPCopper skin. the code you had provided was supposed to produce several buttons, and WB even said there were several of them, but i just couldnt get more than one at a time to work however, having got a quick launch menu button working, it did fire off IE correctly. no real surprise there, but this way we can agree on a minute
well, i have now had a look at two WB skins that i know to be animated, and was slightly surprised to find that all 4 borders are animated, since these skins only appear to animate one border. however, since you have provided numbers for all of the borders, i presume that you have done this yourself. is this jumping effect on only one border, or on all of them? or is the whole actual window its self moving as well?
/me cracks we dont all agree on how windows should work. this isnt good enough! you should all agree to customise your machines to they are just like mine
i was actually refering to the system tray filtering rules as upposed to the taskbar filtering. my problem with the taskbar at work is that i just get far to many windows open. my solution of two taskbars and loads of filtering rules works quite well, especially since i dont use the mouse for selecting things from the taskbar
on the other hand, the features that work are *OUTSTANDING* even got recently used filtering on win98 now if only i can talk them into adding windows key + tab facility
/me feels deeply disturbed these pictures suggest that the people here exist as something other than words and skins on my monitors /me grapples with reality stress also, i dont recognise half of the names. shows what a young kitten i still am
i am not *just* a big tease you know! i dont really recognise these components, so i will go hunting for some comparisons in a little bit, and see what i can see. it may be a silly question, but you have made sure that all your frames for a given side are the same size havent you? as for loosing it, whats so terrible about that? sanity is over-rated anyway <img src="http://images.
Griffinme - I know it would be a pain to add these but have you seen a busy forum that doesn't have these features? /me wonders if this would back fire wouldnt this simply remove about 1/3 of all the message board threads though?
MadIce - The channel was there for the developers in the first place. You can imagine the horror when the common folks came along. Now there are even admins there who never seen a compiler. /me *eeek* /me has some spare compiler code lying around somewhere perhaps i should post bits to help out these people a bit
paxx - Don't think for a second you're getting the equivalent to XP with OB. nope, i suspect that OB is far superiour to the XP taskbar. its is certinally a monumental improvement over the win2k taskbar got to love per-icon system tray filtering
paxx - Try going on Google's news server: i have done this before, but it didnt work problem one, they dont replicate the OB groups problem two, when you post via google the posts show up in the google view, but NOT on the stardock servers. which explained why all my detailed problem reports went unanswered *sigh*
i hope things improve soon for you in the mean time, you will be missed
starone - I probably want the impossible. have you tried threatening to tickle people until they give in and let you have your way? worked for me starone - I want the frames to change the colors (which they do), but without the jumping part. Then I want my design which is different shapes on top
ahha! a bunch of giberish in object edit is basically exactly what i would expect, since you almost certinally havent opened a text file. just try opening a graphic file in object edit for comparison /me *wicked grin*
MadIce - By the way there is #WinCustomize channel there too. Which is much to quiet... given the *vast* numbers of people who visit this site, this message board is dead quiet to. still havent worked out why. i am not that scary surely?
a place where programmers hang out and talk to people? /me wonders what was done to the poor programmers to get them there
/me does innocent expression no. 46 what chocolate???
i didnt get to the menu last night, but hopefully i will make some progress tonight. in the mean time, if you open IE into object edit, can you save it out as a file? the idea hear is that we can have a look at the file and see exactly which bit has been opened. the file size should give us an initial guide to work from.
we try to please what is the problem with the animation? would the tactic alexandria used in the aquarium skin work? from the look of it, the effect of only animating part of the window border comes from simply making the non-animated parts the same across all frames. /me wonders if this is still a Jafo free zone, thus a spelling free for all <img src="http://images.stardock.com/
it all sounds strange. i thought white out was what happened during blizzards in the artic circle. as for your reference Doreen, i am so used to what tippex is i am missing it, so i dont mind
well, guessing the email failed, so the message boards it is. however i wont get there before the weekend, so if you pass them before then posting yourself wouldnt be a bad idea.
/me things skin studio is an evil plot to drive me mad if you simply look at the skin files then you will find several (7) wbs files. by the looks of it the scrips are using a stack based language. the interesting upshot is that stack based languages are supposed to be more natural for non programmers to understand, so you could be at an advantage here. transparancy - odd that.
i would suggest doing what you like
