i just tried this again last night on win2k, and it no longer works. which versions of OB and WB are you using currently? and what happens when you try this? i am running WB 3.10, and when using OB 0.90 i got a dialog box saying that the theme was being converted, and then it appeared once the progress bar hit 100%. however, i have just upgraded to OB 0.95, and can no longer convert the aquarium WB theme. again the dialog box appears, and the progress bar goes upto 1

what i am doing, and it is working, is to load the desired WB skin (i have used aquarium). then go to OB 0.9, select "load" -> "theme browser" from the list pick "WinXP", then from the styles box at the bottom of the window select "*use windowblinds skin*", then hit load.
its a white fluid, often in a small pot with a brush. you use it to paint over incorrect words on paper, and then when it has dried, you write over the top, putting down the correct version. personally i think it is a waste of time, since my words are just fine as i write them
as i understand it WB isnt so tightly integrated into win2k as it is in winXP, so if you applied a bad skin it would be easier to get out of it in win2k
at a guess they are promoted to overseers. that, or if their maths is bad, no one notices that 10 != 9
Frogboy - Why must toddlers constantly open up and put..things...into the CD ROM drives of computers? this is what comes of not using the cd-rom drives properly. if you used them as cup holders (which is surely their proper function), then everything would just go into the cup. much easier, just so long as you didnt intend to drink that coffie
on a different front again, have you tried the latest builds of object bar yet? version 0.9 and above will do the trick of hiding all the items on your start menu that you havent used for x days, *even* on win98! /me considers this a life changing event on work machine
well, i may just be back i have just grabbed a copy of this UIS info, and hopefully will get as far as making it work on my home machine tonight. on a different front, i have remembered a comment that went up next to the "Docking Station" WB skin when it was first posted. basically it said that it contained animated buttons which were produced via WB scripts. of course, only a de
if you can name a skin that does this, i can have a go at guessing. ripping out large sections is a surprisingly effective way of finding out where something is. i probably know a lot less about this than you, but that hasnt stopped me yet
/me *confused* /me checks dictionary i think i am going to need to borrow Jafo's dictionary on this one are you sure that non computer related social life is valid english?
i have now conducted a survey, and find that all of me prefer my trick to Jafo's

on the question of this animation, do you mean you want to overlay the animation on only bits of the window border? say, overlay the animation on the top border, and top 50% of each side border only? if that is what you want, then one idea would simply be to have 3 sets of animation frames. one set is the top border (title bar), and is animated along its full length. then the other two sets are only animated for the top 50%, so the botton half of the side bord
and she strikes again well, i spent an "instructive" half hour last night looking at smartbuttons in skin studio following this i have come to a decision, which is that i am not going to bother with skinstudio any more. i just dont get it /me *shrug* /me goes back to cuddling vim <img src=
JavaBrain - Just put a DesktopX theme on your box and they will never know what you are running. if i ever find the desktop i may just do that curently my desktop is burried under 5 remote logins, 5 IE's, spreadsheet, outlook and 4 explorer folders JavaBrain - It looked like explorer crashed and only left my wallpaper. /me wonders if the sight of me skipping towards my own ignorance while grinning will be enough to scare it away, thus increasing my knowledge of skinning even more without work
??? i was under the impression that you could animate any of the 4 window edges directly. there are at least 2 skins i know off that do this to some degree or other. what are you trying to achieve, and what is the problem? i have never tried to do anything like this, but i dont see why i should let my ignorance stand in my way
have you tried to repair your installation? supposed to be nice and fast, and hopefully will help.
sounds like a sensible reaction to what is begining to seem like a continual irritation as for jeans, if they no longer fit, then they are being wicked, and should be punished by not being worn!
