Good link I was thinking the holes should be transparent but part of the entire plan is to have the holes as buttons also. Slider glyph, arrows, frame buttons, etc. I have a picture of the finished skin to look like Bonnie and Clyde's car.

I don't own a gun and never shot one but seen many movies. I was thinking about a bullet into wood would splinter or something on that order. I am wondering where an example picture of that would be. What would be a key word search.
Howdy! In a previous thread I asked if anyone would like to help with a skin because I can't seem to make up my mind on how it is going to look. I thought if I had a gun I would shoot this skin and put it out of its misery. So I have decided to put bullet holes into it. The problem is my bullet holes look like knot holes since the skin is now a wood theme. Would anyone be interested in fixing the holes to look more like bullet holes?
There may also be another solution. I experienced similiar halt/not responding until I removed WB 3.9 and put back 3.5 Since I haven't had any trouble

The tab spacer has been a mystery for me. I have asked several times in the DB what and where it is but got no answer. Makes me to believe no one knows what it does either. The other two are the actual tabs and the border that goes around the box. I may be wrong but I think the tab background/border only shows 3 tiles of the border.

I am almost sure you are referring to the 3d color scheme. Light, highlight, dark shadow, shadow etc. Those make those color lines. Experiment with the colors in the 3d controls and see what happens.
Is it possible that a video card would affect windowblinds. Or more accurately, a lack of one. I have a gateway budget machine which has everything integrated into the motherboard.
Blackcomb is one of the best skins that is offered. One reason is because it is available for a wide variety of applications. Changing a skin for personal preference is done quite often but mostly the use is kept for individual purposes. I have changed SysMetrix's Copperdeck to suit my system and IMO works better but what works for me doesn't work for everyone.
Just curious if Stardock is interested in feedback for the alpha of wb on what is not working. I am 100% convinced that the XP start menu is not skinning properly. WB has also interfered with one known program I have. Lock up. It also is blocking some of the signals I am receiving from outer space

Did some investigation and discovered the first frame of the panel item is suppose to be there. Sometimes it is there and sometimes not. Mostly not but on some reloads of wb it shows up. The chevron used to open the desktop from the taskbar looks like it is skinned with the quicklaunch buttons. This may or maynot be a conflict? I am guessing most ppl scatter icons all over the desktop and don't use that feature. Gathered that info from the majority of skins have that area
Oh I see the daily skin is blackcomb. Subconscious flub. Beacon doesn't have the dual state images either so I am guessing dual state images have been lost in the upgrade. colony is one heck of a skin. a definite keeper. sorry but Beacon has flaws to be a 10 rated skin.

i was refering to the program and places list first image in the two image thing. i installed colony but that skin looks like it doesn't have a dual state image. I am off to get blackcomb. I seen the design that blackcomb has at a Microsoft site. Is that a Microsoft skin?
