Clarification: Dropping dock folders into the Stardock library doesn't seem to be working correctly. I'd get blank un-selectable spots in the theme dropdown. I had to add them to the program folders for OD to recognize the new skins.
It's nice to click on a WB link, open-with, Windowblinds, and hey-presto it's installed. OD needs this functionality. Rooting around in zip files to toss into library folders is so Web 1.0. ;)
[feature][request] Access to the various galleries is now hidden under "explore". It's effectively an extra mouse-click. 3rd party software galleries have completely disappeared. I'm not sure I view that as an improvement since it makes things less accessible. Hmm, it's not clear it supports pen tilt from Intuos (I don't have one yet). I like the interface better than Painter so far, but being able to work with all the features of a good Wacom tablet would be standard I thought. And of course G3mpi3 points out that a real artist can use any tool to do pretty much anything.

Thanks for the advice. I'll browse around a bit further. Mostly I'm interested in just getting a GUI, any GUI, running first. Then I'll worry about ActiveX. For posterity's sake my friend for whom I'm researching this stuff found that the add-on to Matlab called Simulink appears to do almost everything we need. We'll see, but I want to continue wrestling with LabView and its various interfaces.

Win 7 has stopped skinning the window widgets. I no longer have borders, menu bars, or close/open icons surrounding program windows. Program Titles and icons still remain visible and all functions including close/open commands and resize arrow are still working. Impulse maintains its windowing. This happened on my desktop just recently (would installing the beta of Spiriform's Specce make any difference?). No change in skin or unloading/reloading/rebooting will a
Fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling Impulse. Still don't know why it disappeared after uninstalling WB.
Running windows 7. Just uninstalled windowblinds 7 to reinstall and now only 6 shows up. Pre-release is checked (and unchecked, and checked, and unchecked, and checked). Windowblinds 6 cannot be installed. Expiration is in February.
