i take it there is a max limit imposed on how many categories it will show. i went in and clicked my favorite categories but they don't all show up, so it must be a list limit, i assume.
impulse dock is also free, and that more resembles the dell dock. object dock plus works fine on windows 7 32/64 systems. rocket dock works about a week on windows 7, then it crashes on a reboot and tells you it can't load the config would you like to load default icons. i've had this happen several times recently on both 32 and 64bit windows 7 installs. if you want a good free dock, try nexus dock over at winstep.net. it has some nice features the current object
i've had 2 dreams about it already, yes, i'm pretty sad
wrong or not, you still have the choice. i think everyone complaining needs to recognize that. also, stardock has a pretty good track record, i've been an obnt subscriber for i don't even know, 8-10 years or something? sure, i've had my share of complaints and problems, but that doesn't keep me from continuing to buy their software, they earned my trust. if blizzard charged for starcraft or WoW betas, u can rest assured millions would pre-order for the beta. th
From an elevated command prompt, you can run multisrv32.exe -install (or the multisrv64.exe as appropriate) and that'll force the service to install. Might want to run a -uninstall first in case its gotten some of the info written to the registry and what's half-there is blocking it taking successfully.
this worked for me, thanks!
the secondary is 32bit win7, primary is 64bit win 7. secondary has multisrv32 primary has multisrv 64 now i notice that it no longer installs to program files/stardock/thinkdesk/multiplicity, it goes to startdock/multiplicity
ok, no response in a while, is it possible to locate an older version so i can install that at least and hopefully get it working again?
yes ive rebooted, nope, no stardock multiplicity service installed, on either machine, as i said before this happened in the past as well, and must of been common since there was that BAT file to reinstall the service, but that doesn't work with this version, either that or this install isn't complete
man, for some reason there are no archives in my folder either, crap i can't even restore it this totally sucks. it even asked me if i wanted to create the archive, only an impulse and windowblinds archive in there, WTF man
i seem to remember there being 2 processes for multiplicity running, now i only see Multipl.exe, and there is no service for it that i can see either.
ok, well, i dunno what to do now, i rely on this app throughout the day and not sure what i'm going to do.
well, it should be MP Pro i'll have a quick look and see what it did yep, both machines are showing MP Pro.
and it definately sees the other machine, if i disable the firewall, it instantly tells me it can't connect, if i enable the firewall, it takes a while before it tells me that. very strange
i uninstalled first because impulse said it had to uninstall the previous version first. i updated one PC, and it could still connect to the second PC, then i updated the second PC, and it stopped working altogether
great, so i uninstalled and installed again, i got to log files popped up Application start: 2010-2-19 13.29.7 Silent modeMode 1, short info WARNING: Directory creation error: 183 Submitting activation request...Download: success Activation result: 5 Application start: 2010-2-19 13.56.32 Silent modeMode 1, short info WARNING: Directory creation error: 183 Submitting activation request...Download: failed HttpSendRequestResult
so i uninstalled and then installed the update through impule to MP today. now the machines won't connect. in the past you could sometimes use the reinstall_mpp_service.bat to fix the problem, but that doesn't work with the new version, tells me directory not found or path not found, don't really remember. anyways, what can i check?
fantastic, thanks.
but that only works if i haven't been browsing the forums for a bit

You probably know that...just added for folks who don't.
yea i know, but someone complaining about paying for it and then deciding they don't like
