Tomorrow, President Bush will undergo a routine colonoscopy. The medical procedure will require him to be under anesthesia. So, the President will utilize the 25th ammendment to the Constitution and Dick Cheney will assume the power. Cheney will remain in power till Bush is no longer the influence of the anesthesia. That should be in a few hours after the
He was a perennial starting quarterback in the NFL. He had endorsements that other players envy. He was truly one of the NFL's most exciting players. He got "the cover" of the most popular sports videogame franchises ever. As the old cliche goes, women wanted him and men wanted to be him. Michael Vick had it all. So, last year, when Vick was busted in an
The show "Entourage" has been making a movie. On the show at least. The cast of the popular HBO series about 4 kids from New Jersey who take on Hollywood has focused the past season on completing what lead charachter Vincent Chase has dreamed of since the show's beginning. A movie based on the life of Pablo Escobar, "Medellin." In the ficticious film, Vin
Last week, after the initial crowds died down, I went to go see the new Michael Moore flick "Sicko" about the state of health care in America today. I purposefully went after the initial release so I wouldn't be there in a big fanatic crowd. And in fact, I chose a matinee showing to further my isolation. So, it came as a bit of a surprise to walk in to the t
You may be a libertarian (and as you call yourself one, only God can discern the truth in that), yet your writings go towards the liberal side. well, your statement would suggest that libertarianism is wholly conservative. i don't see it that way. a guy like ron paul may be more conservative than i, or gideon for that matter. on the other hand, i'm probably right of a libertarian like bill maher , but that really doesn't matter. overall, i usua
that would be lets round it 75,000,000 are registered. of that i will use half that is 32,500,000 that voted. actually...according to the census bureau... "The overall number of people who voted in the November 2004 election was 126 million" WWW Link as you can see,,,your numbers, as your perceptions, are WAY off.
the silent majority and called silent becouse they don't vote and they don't answer polls actually dan, in 2004, 72% of all people eligible, were registered to vote. so, the "silent majority" you cling to does not exist. and furthermore, 89% of those people actually did vote. and the total number of people that did vote vs. those eligible is well over 50%. so again, any way you slice it, this "silent majority" is a figment of your imagination.
he seems to be having a harder time explaining his lobbying for planned parenthood than him being a lawyer. kind of a red herring and strawman type thing all rolled into one here.
The 2nd quarter fund-raising totals are coming in this weekend. Already it has been reported by the Obama camp that they are literally smashing any precedents of the "number of individual donors" reporting numbers of over 250,000 in just the 2nd quarter alone. And the folks who follow the campaigns are impressed. And indeed, I think it is safe to say that Barack Obam
i think you are right on most of that col.
understood. btw brad...thought you'd be @ E3.
Had he been around in say 2000, he would have done much better. possibly,,,he seemed like a decent enough guy, which has gotten much rarer, lol.
Forget not 1980. John Anderson i've talked about john anderson before,,,but he was an independent if i remember correctly, wasn't he?
hey ted, have ya looked into any of the computer based software for effects or recording?
Equal in what way? If you mean equal in terms of their right to express themselves in the United States, then yes I certainly do. If you mean equal in terms of the moral standards they strive to impart to their adherents, that is far too subjective to answer objectively. I would put it to those who claim some sort of moral superiority to prove it objectively. The basics of how we are supposed to treat one another are very similar in each of the religions you n
I know. I commented on Locamama's thread as well. All the reports were backing the mother. So my quote was directed towards the nay sayers (and the Stew). And in support of your article. thanks...yeah, the lil "nay sayer" had all sorts of racist implications (figured the passenger mom must have been black and must have been ignorant 1st) turns out, the mom was lily white. but that is to be expected from the lil klangirl. then a tirade on wh

actually, the world agrees with me on this. the only hostility here is on Stardock's website, lol. but that's typical round here and why i love it so much!, lol but thanks for thinkin of the Conners clan (i think the "conner" clan is roseanne's tv family, lol)
turns out, i was right about the support and the fact that there was no threat made despite what others claimed. but it is nice to see that the obsession continues
Can a third party operate within our political system? I doubt it! i think one could. but it would have to come on the scene like the reform party did in the early 90's. fast and with a lot of resources to actually compete. then they need to learn from the mistakes made there...like don't throw a loon like ross up for president and another loon in the form of fake wrestler jesse "the body" ventura up for governor. and they need to think long t
Forcing your belief system on others is pretending to love them. well put...beat me to the punch.
All I was pointing out is you claim to be libertarian but your actions and view say "I'm a liberal." excuse me, what is so "liberal" about not liking how this administration pisses on the constitution? the one with the "same old rhetoric" is you. calling anyone who won't walk in lock step with the administration "liberal."
A new poll came out today that showed that 58% of Americans now believe that our political system needs a 3rd party. That is up from 40% just a few years ago. Today, CNN did a poll asking if America needs a 3rd party and Jack Cafferty reported that no one, and I mean no one, wrote in and said "everything is just fine." I think it is safe to say that a majorit
