And what's wrong with music sounding like Willie Nelson anyhoo? if ya sound like willie did 20 years ago,,,nuttin. but, don't ya think willie's performances have gotten kind of "lazy" the past decade or so? he pretty much talks thru the lyrics and his guitar playing is sloppy as hell compared to how he sounded in the 70's and 80's. i know he's opened every show of his ever with "whiskey river" but when he does it now, it's obvious he is totally
Sean Conners aka SConn1
You see, this is the kind of bull I can't stand from people like you Sean. yeah, the truth hurts, i'm sure charles. people that you can't stand, like me, were pointing out that this was a bad idea BEFORE we invaded. and what was foreseen was exactly what has happened. It’s too hard we can’t do anything so let’s all run home and hide under the bed maybe the bully won't find us nonsense. and juveni
it's real telling to see the apologists come out with the usual bs...the insistance that they and the horses they backed were wrong and continue to be wrong, but anyone who questions that is out of line. keep givin em hell col!
just to clear a few things up... 1) i wasn't sure if the spellcheckin comments were about me (i did scan my article over and over for the word "fantasy" and was a lil puzzled there) but i did make the error as well, a common bad spelling of mine...so, i thought it should be corrected. like i say, typos and poorly spelled words are things we all experience, but when it's in the title or a key word, it should be correct and i don't mind when someone politely points that out.
thanks miler...egg on my face...did some correcting. actually it was like 5 on amendment...lol
Bush and Cheney are not going to be impeached. You guys need to get that through your heads. i believe i said that. i think proposing the ammendment would be a far more effective move and be the right thing. a rare combination in today's politics, lol.
now Styx and Metalica aren't sounding so much like Willie Nelson. ;~D lol...hanging out with willie is like hanging out with your grandpa...if your grandpa smoked a lot of pot, lol I'm now working on my speed and a few Rock and Metal songs I've played on acoustic for awhile. i actually found myself jam
hope ya jumped in a good way, lol...
oh, and i hate to be a spelling nazi here,,,as i have my own share of typos...but spelling anything to do with the word "lose" wrong when accusing others of it is kind of silly. it's "losing" not "loosing." ya may wanna correct that.
If anything, we need an ammendment limiting the authority of the Legislative Branch to conduct whichhunts long after the facts of the case have been learned... and ignored. they got al capone with tax evasion...do ya think that was all he did? Why should I listen to anything about pardons when the guy who actually did the "outing" has never once been charged with anything? because whatever armitage di
An ammendment doing away with the ability of the President to pardon individuals will never happen. There is not a party (take your pick) that would even go along with this ideal. Why?, because it is one of the tools of government which our fore fathers felt was needed to help control things that our own government has a tendency to do to its own citizens. pam,,,if you are gonna make comments...at least read the article. i do not anywhere propose taking
big difference...echelon complied with the FISA court. CIA director George Tenet testified to this before Congress on 4/12/00: I’m here today to discuss specific issues about and allegations regarding Signals Intelligence activities and the so-called Echelon Program of the National Security Agency… There is a rigorous regime of checks and balances which we, the Central Intelligence Agency, the National Security Agency and th
Right now, citizens have the right to petition the President for a pardon - regardless of where they work. You would remove that right. you view it as citizens, i view it as the government.
i hear that ted! and you are lucky out in there where i'm guessin you'd get to see em @ alpine valley...one of my ATF venues. how's the new electric guitar doin by the way?
same crime that you juimped on MM for. nope...what MM did was use the ammendment process to attempt to take away rights from the citizens. what is proposed here is limiting the power of government and ensuring the pardon process won't be abused as it has been, not only by this administration, but by others. and you can cry the "lunatic fringe" and all that, but the fact of the matter is that reform and limiting the power of government, esp the
you are very welcome...have you seen them before? they are great, one of my ATF bands, especially live. they did between the wheels from g under p and i hear that they have done distant early warning in some shows. another song that is really good live from that album and they always could break out is red sector A.
yeah, i just hope nuttin happens before i learn to spell musharrif correctly, lol.
Love em or hate em, Rush is a unique band. They have thrived and survived as Rock's premiere power trio for about 33 years or so now. Being a trio in itself isn't the most common set up for a band. And unlike many trios, Rush doesn't take all the credit while shifting much of the musical load on sidemen who play sometimes literally backstage while the trio soaks up al
Gene, when I interviewed Congressman Wilson in June, we spoke at length about Pakistan. an exerpt... KOB: How do you think Pakistan is going to pan-out as an ally on the war on terror? I’ve seen a lot of mixed reporting, about how Al-Qaeda is enjoying a safe-haven in Pakistan. And we’re sending a lot of money over there. You gotta wonder how much is ending up in their hands. JW: My view is it’s sad. We found this out in Afghanistan, in Somalia and places in Iraq, that there are ung
A lot has been said over the past few weeks over President Bush's handling of the Scooter Libby case. Amongst the rhetoric was an exchange between the Clinton camp and the White House where charges of "being above the law" were met with new definitions of "chutzbah" by the respective foes. And we were all certainly entertained. But President Bu
That was my last episode. Some celebrities should leave their persona a mystery - he's one of them. yeah...it's been a lil while since i wrote that article, but my sentiments are pretty much the same. i eve nfound myself reaching for the remote when he came on in a recent autism commercial.
In the next few weeks, events could shape up in a way that will have the potential to be more important in shaping the 2008 primary than all the debates, polls and quarterly earnings statements thus far. It is a relatively small tax bill that could be key in determining each of the leading democratic Presidential candidates view from the “working class” of America.<B
i'll go with alive, if nothing more than a gut feeling. there is evidence to support either argument, so, i'll go with my gut.
Okay, I take it you feel accused of being Right Wingers, right? Actually, it isn't a real condemnation since being Right Wing isn't really against the law, yet, but I find it interesting that many of you feel intimidated already. Paranoid? barry, i think ya misread some things. the fact is that all these right wingers accuse me of being a liberal on a regular basis. it was funny, and telling to have an objective voice make the same judgement i get offlin
