If your own party wont buy the snake oil, do you really think the opposition will? again, there were competing plans and the debate was still going on when the 94 shocker happened as i remember it. the 94 gingrich led revolution very much changed the political landscape. and if you remember, the democrats, who had enjoyed a majority for the bulk of the last 50 years in congress, never saw it coming, and probably wouldn't have encoraged the competition

Nice dodge, see you later. puleassseee...i'm damned if i do, damned if i don't , eh? you know very well i am not goin anywhere and these issues will come up over and over again. simply repeating things we've said in the past won't accomplish anything here. and the fact that you blew off someone who knows more about terrorism than you or i or anyone else here and countered it with a bunch of unsubstantiated claims and opinions that are merely typical tal

Incorrect. The plan saw the light of day and was killed by the then democrat controlled congress. The GOP win in 94 (which meant they did not take control until 95) had nothing to do with Hillary care - or its defeat. actually, what happened was in 93, ther e were several competing plans offered besides hillary's after the big media campaign by the right. true, it didn't get passed in 93. but they did plan on bringing it back in 94 when they were shocked

I agree that he is "popular" in the polls, which don't mean anything regardless, but I don't he is very popular among conservatives. You can read a variety of conservative sources that have a generally favorable view of him, but his liberal social policies is hurting him among conservatives. yes he is popular in the polls. which is the only measure we really have. you might not support him, but his support amongst conservatives is clear from what i see.

In our society, there are polls to show trends in just about everything. In fact, the most popular show on network tv these days is in effect, a popularity poll. Most of the polls that I see, however, are about politics. And where polls can be used and interpreted for a variey of things, many times, people, but more often than not, the media, totally misuses these de

to be honest pal...i started quoting and responding,,,but i really don't know where to start here and i really don't have the time or interest to write another novel on the subject in a response. i essentially disagree with just about everything you said. about the only thing i agree with is the consideration of weather in the theater of battle. your blaming the media is typical. your assessment about what has happened is innacurate, in my view from what i know. and since both your and my views

One of the big "problems" the right has with Hillary Clinton is her conduct in the White House during Bill's tenure as Commander in Chief. Every 1st lady has had their "pet projects" while their husband boldy lead the free world, but all of the previous 1st lady projects have been the type a local community or church would via a "Women's Guild" or the "Ladies Auxiluar

How many attacks against US interests were there between 1993 and 2001? How many have there been since 2001? I rest my case. in fact they have done over 15 suicide-terrorist attacks since 2002, more than all the years before 9/11 combined. Al-Qaeda is not weaker now. Al-Qaeda is stronger if you want to narrowly define "us inerests" as only a direct hit on our soil, then yeah...you can

If you are trying to pretend that Gene's articles aren't about INCOME tax rates or that you didn't realize they were then I think you are being disengenous. he can speak for himself, as was i. i can understand the confusion. i was just attempting to clarify. again, i have spoken of adjusting rates at many other places besides income tax rates. i also seem to remember pointing out the fact that much of the rich don't pay payroll taxes like employees

Perhaps it's because you use Role-Playing Game sites as your authority on grammar? and i successfully predicted you would take all that seriously. you are simply s lil narcisist who doesn't know when to shut up. You often rail about being misunderstood--but I can't imagine why... the only people i cared about "understanding" my position and the words i chose to describe it were tex and gideon. you or a

It's 'piece' you semi-literate troglodyte actually, while it's debatable, either can be used and arguments have been made on both sides...this from a recent online debate... At the time of writing, this poll has revealed that 53.8% of repondents need some lessons in grammar, and more relevantly literary history. "Said my peace.", in common usage means to have stated something that leaves your mind and thoughts at ease with the relev

btw, he also said,,, TAC: What do you think the chances are of a weapon of mass destruction being used in an American city? RP: I think it depends not exclusively, but heavily, on how long our combat forces remain in the Persian Gulf. The central motive for anti-American terrorism, suicide terrorism, and catastrophic terrorism is response to foreign occupation, the presence of our troops. The longer our forces stay on the ground in the Arabian Peninsula, the greater the

Someone who knows something about money in the real world can instantly identify people who don't know about money when they argue for things that are dumb. i was gonna say something that might get taken the wrong way here, but i'll just keep my mouth shut on that one. For example, Col Gene (and you) arguing to raise INCOME tax rates on the rich. This is dumb. actually, i have endorsed raising taxes on t

No AQ attacks on US soil since we began fighting back. did you forget about the anthrax attacks? we don't know for sure if aq did them or not, but it definitevely was a terrorist attack that we never solved or identified the terrorists even. i've said my peace. if no one is interested in fairly discussing anything and just want to come after me, piling on a site i agreed not to post on so i can;t even directly defend myself (and you defend that too,,,yeah,,,defending free speech,,,whatever...since when is "free speech" 1 way?). i'll write what i write and anyone who wants to discuss anything is free to. if ya'll wanna play lil games, be my guest. like i said, i've said my peace and could care les

now you've proven yourself to be a liar and a hypocrite on 2 fronts. you just can't shut up , can you? convenient that he posted that lil piece of evidence after i busted you. and as far as the times go, i know when you posted both of those, and the times are accurate. i don't need all this posturing. circling the wagons doesn't impress me 1 iota. i know the truth, lil girl. and this b.s. is typical and predictable stuff from your lil clique.. <BR

whatever gid...you tried to tell me what i could and couldn't say. that's not defending free speech. and i didn't attack anyone back there. i may have used a lil term that someone took offense to, but i wasn't even given an opportunity to apologize or explain myself, just insulted by your friend. then the pile on, lead by whip...who turns out to be just as bad as the claim she makes on the ny times...and i proved it, despite her protests...and she is still running all over the net insul

I criticize this President and this administration often. I make no secret that I have big problems with the way they have mismanaged and mislead our country since coming to office in January of 2001. But today, George Bush made me proud. Today, Bush visited the much maligned Walter Reed Medical Center. The facility and it's leadership have been
