i think you HIGHLY underestimate the middle and the independent majority in this country. as someone recently said, the GOP has expanded their small base and shrunk the overall party.

True - but then that would mean Kucinich goes with it, and I dont think Michigan is that desperate. yeah, but they get the rock and roll hall of fame, a river that is famous for catching on fire AND they will be home to the slang term for one of the most depraved sex (and i use the term very loosely) acts known to man.

You quack me up sometimes actaully, i didn't mean that in a negative way,,,just a comment. i was actually agreeing with doc...i think you read that a lil too seriously...try picturing us sittin in a bar and talkin lightly. you quack me up too sometimes chuck <img src="http://images.stardock.com/ju/T_JU/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 ali

I was just cleared to interview Congressman Joseph Wilson (R-SC). The interview will happen in the next week or so. I thought I might throw it out to JU readers to suggest questions they might ask. I will be submitting questions in advance for the Congressman, so no "blindsides." The primary topic will be one that is of great interest, imm

1st off...the MASH finale is one of my favorite all time faves...it was a 4 part episode and like the rest of the series, was brilliant in making us laugh and cry sometimes almost at the same time. several of the charachters, including klinger and potter did a spin off series, after mash. (it sucked btw). i could be wrong, but i always thought trapper john md was a continuation of the mash charachter. 2ndly...i liked the cheers finale as wel

Sorry but that dog won't hunt. By your standards, the democrats have controlled congress all the time it was being led by the GOP. actually, i think they are saying that the GOP members of congress plus bush = a de facto majority. when the GOP controlled congress under bush, they still had bush on theri side...not exactly the same thing. but regardless, i don't buy the "de facto" argument. it wouldn't matter if harry reid had a spine.

Both your summations were quite adroit i have to admit...i had to look up adroit, lol. but now i can say thanks. I'm still a big Richardson fan. i like the guy too. i think it's a shame how he's choking on the big stage. While I don't really think he has much of a chance for the presidential nomination (especially being up against such heavy hitters) I think he'd be

This is the 2nd part of a brief "good, bad and ugly" analysis of each of the 2 major party's field of contenders. This time, we look at the Democrats. Hillary Clinton The Good - About as big of a success story and "living the dream" as any woman could be an example of. Mother, wife, professional, 1st lady and Senator. Hillary has defini

This is just a brief rundown on each Presidential candidate. To be fair, I am listing 1 thing I like about each candidate, 1 thing I don't like, and some "deficiency" in their candidacy. Rudy Giuliani The Good - A very decisive leader. Willing to step away from the GOP platform on certain issues. The Bad - Known as a "

according to this logic, pot should be legal as well, cause washington grew it He did? yes he did...i went out and grabbed something to back it up (there is plenty out there)..i happened to copy something that lists him and 15 other famous people who did (including jefferson)...i know it's overkill, just thought you might find it interesting. (btw, "hemp" is another name for marijuana...it is the industrial term..."hemp" fields contain both

Jefferson knew of what he was talking in this instance. We can document the deterioration that has happened in schools ever since they took prayer and GOd out in 1963. yeah life ws great before 63...everything was wonderful before those evil beatles invaded.

We don't have to wonder what Washington thought about homosexuals in the service because he communicated his position by his actions and his words in this General Order for March 14, 1778: you have completely missed the point here kfc. according to this logic, pot should be legal as well, cause washington grew it. slavery would still be around, cause washington had them. the statement i quote from washington in the article has to do wi

i really don't have anything against gays, but it doesn't matter what you think in your head, or who you are attracted to, if you act on it, you've made a choice. the ignorance continues...who are you to say that it is wrong for them to act on a natural biological need??? i grew up in a very conservative household (and that goes well beyond politics) and was taught that gay people don't want to marry (this is in the 70's when i started asking q
