I think that is not possible. (:( It is fairly easy to change costs, boni, alignment of techs (use GalCiv Writer:http://www.ctuit.com/bill/galciv.htm#Downloads: ), but those rather special effects on the map can, as far as i know, not be changed.

Here are a few hints (not a walkthrough, just a few tiny tips...) Most important picks (MIP): Diplomacy, Planet Quality, Morale Colonize as much good planets as you can (race for the good planets...) Colonize only planets with PQ 15 or better Dont' build improvements with upkeep more than 2 Try to get the "Diplomatic Translators" tradegood at all costs Trade techs (except Diplomacy techs...) Don't ally except you can achieve a very f
thatit works only with Altarian Prophecy
Don't have that... but
don't need this program
But keep up the good work... :D
See you in September.
:D [Message Edited]
Hmm, if i go for Cultural or Tech Victory, i usually research military techs as far as Dreadnought. Then i build lots of AMMs, until my military power is so high that the AIs don't get any silly ideas...
As far as i know there is a names list for all stars in GalCiv somewhere in the GalCiv directories. I think there you can change the star names for all your GalCiv games (but make a backup of the list first...).
Why have you given me this link ?
Great Forum...great people... :D, has it's own GalCiv section, too. [Message Edited]
Here is my answer. ;)
Put the .ship file into the ...\galciv\Mods\Data folder, and the .mdl file (if you have a new one) into the ...\galciv\Mods\GFX folder. Start a new game. [Message Edited]
1) First you need something to unzip: Download and install this (Izarc Unpacker)http://www.izarc.org/ 2) Download the mods 3) Double-click the .zip file -> this should open Izarc 4) Click on "Extract" or "Unzip" or "Extrahieren" (depends on the Izarc version) -> a small window pops up - click on "Extract"... again 5) Close Izarc -> now there's a folder named like the .zip-file in your directory where you downnloaded the mod 6) Read the readme (if
Great idea, that mod! Please tell me when it's time for testing!
Get GalCiv Writer: http://www.ctuit.com/bill/galciv.htm#Downloads: It's very easy to use and more or less self-explanatory. No way to create ship abilities as far as i know, sorry.
Is there a Babylon 5 Mod about? If anyone is working on this, check this out: http://www.b5tech.net/models/models.htm Perhaps this can be used... (don't know) Oops, just was on NeoTech and found this Link... Sorry, DF, i thought i had found something new... [Message Edited]
for some reason i can't download V1.2. i keep getting a can't find exe. error message
Perhaps you should install and update via Stardock Central...
But keep in mind that an alliance with minors will likely get you in trouble with the majors at the later stages of the game... Trade techs with them until they're not useful anymore... Wait until some major race declares war on them and blasts their ships away... ...and invade their planets with a few handy combat transports that you (just in case) kept waiting nearby once their defences are no more... ;)
Perhaps you should specify a bit more what you mean. I'd like to help, but i also don't get the message...
Have not tested it yet, but i think it's great that you put time and effort into helping others to enjoy this game. :HOT: Come and visit the Core: http://www.diplomats-empire.com/forum/portal.php [Message Edited]
Just the normal repair-techs can help here, i believe. Try to push your diplomacy a little, don't upset your neighbours and bribe them out of wars with you until you have Dreadnought tech. Then mass-produce AMMs, and the AI will never worry you again.
The only thing you can do is colonizing and abandoning the same system over and over again. Apart from that i think it's not possible to increase the event rate.
Hallo Priamos78.
If one of the AI players has researched the Final Frontier before you, you can't win by Tech Victory anymore.
Welcome to the Core!
Sorry that i took so long to reply. They are just *.pcx files for anomalies or reports in the game, and in 250x180 256 color format. I have downloaded all events and anomalies in the library, and took either ideas or pictures for my own ones. Right now i don't know anymore which mods exactly were my favourites, but i'll check during the next weeks and tell you, and mail you some/all anomaly pics. I think the Nidaros Event Pack is very good, it was the basic mod for my own even
