Im from the uk , will there be any way of buying the expansion pack in the shops even as part of a package with the main game id gladly do that . Or will i just have to pester my parents into using the old fashioned credit card . Thanks .

I have a toshiba laptop with a celeron m350 processor , 256mb ddr2 and a radeon express x200m on board memory . It works just fine only slowing down due to lack of memory but 1gb of ddr2 5300 memory on the way . It must be your drivers because this game is designed brilliantly to work on anything . Hell my laptop works better with gal civ 2 than my better desktop .
I have a laptop with a celeron M360 its fine for all games , much quicker than my 1.6 pentium 4 its rubbish . The graphics card isnt great though ive found that Gal Civ 2 works just fine . The main thing with this game in my opinion is the memory , i started with 256mb and despite starting great and going hundreds of turns quickly eventually it slows upgrading to 1gig ddram made a huge boost in performance .Best to get some memory . Save upgrading anything else till windows vista and gal civ3 .

As ever great post , Gal civ 2 has me hooked even more so than Gal Civ 1 a job well done considering how fussy i am . Multiplayer is ok to a certain extent but id rather you just add to the features of the single player first though i trust you lot to make a great expansion or 2 which i will be downloading id really like an extended campaign thoroughly enjoyed the Dread Lord campaign , though it was too short . I just got my copy of gal civ 2 from play after a long wait for the game , i was disappointed to find it wouldnt install the first disc looks damaged and wont therefore work , i have both discs the serial number for the collectors edition on the manual is there anyway to download it via stardock or something like that or will i have to send it back and wait longer . Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks .
I have my doubts about these people , they seem to give very low marks to great games .They gave rome total war a miserly 8.5 out of ten and now this . Gamespot have given a great review to Gal Civ 2 i cant wait for mine to arrive in the post tomorrow morning , a long wait well worth it .
