Thanks for your feedback, Dave. I always do my start panel first too, then proceed onto the taskbar. Maybe I will try to insert my graphics for the preview into one of my completed blinds, and see if it works there. I'll post back here tomorrow...I'm not at home right now, so I will have to wait till tomorrow morning to try this.

Something really weird is happening with my new skin I am making. For some reason, the close button for the preview is not showing up. I have tried everything I could to get it to work. I even transferred the images from my last blind into this one (they work on that blind), but for some reason, the close button doesn't work on this blind. I have never had a problem with this before. Any help with this would be appreciated! MJ
It looks like you are using Aero frames. To find out, open the Windowblinds Config, go to Settings on the top bar > Advanced Settings. Make sure "I want to use Aero Window Frames, but keep the rest of the skin" is NOT checked. Then go back to the Transparency and Blur and reset the blind to its original transparency. Hope this helps.
for future reference...
Malley, I would suggest you keep the .wba files of your skins in another directory from the one above. I keep all my .wba files on another partition of my hard drive along with all of my images for the blind.
Thanks for the pick, ID! Great skins, all! [e digicons][/e] [e digicons]|-)[/e]
Malley, I know that can be such a pain in the butt! Do you have a .wba file of your skin? If you do, I would be willing to take a look-see at it, as long as it is a Windows 7 skin. I just got rid of my XP system a few weeks ago, so I wouldn't be able to check the bind if it is an XP skin. Sometimes it is just a small goof that messes things up.
Just as predicted (somewhere) in the “Mastermind – dead” thread, supposedly “leaked” photos of ObL dead are tainted with malware. We’ve seen this before with all the major disasters such as the Japanese Earthquake and others. Curiosity, or a desire to help (in the case of the earthquake) and a desire to learn details attracts large numbers of potential victims whose guard is down (“after all, who would even think of exploi

Lightstar, I have deleted the Windows.old folder in the past too. I meant to delete it several months ago, and just forgot about it...lol. [e digicons]|-)[/e]
Doc ....you are a lifesaver! All I did was disconnect my external drive, and voila...the files showed up![e digicons]:sun:[/e] I don't have another OS on there...but I do have a file called Windows.old from last year when I originally upgraded to Windows 7 from Vista. Maybe I should delete that file, huh? Especially since I no longer use Vista, and it was set up for my old computer. Thanks so much!
Moosetek13 , I installed windows on a brand new HDD. My recycle bin shows as being full, but when I click on it, it says that it is empty. But when I ran the Disk Cleanup tool, it reported 700+ mb worth of files in the recycle bin. I just now deleted a temp file to the recycle bin...still doesn't show up, but the disk cleanup tool shows 702+ mb worth of files in there. Doc , Windows 7 is my only OS. I have a USB external hard
I just upgraded my desktop, with new motherboard, CPU, SATA HDD and DVD. Installed Windows 7. Everything is fine, but for some reason, when I click on the recycle bin on my desktop and/or in Windows Explorer, it says there are no items in there. But, there are...almost a gig's worth of them. I am at a loss here. Does anyone know how I can get those files in the recycle bin to show up?
Rolocolor, I have a blind here named Larimar. It would probably be a good idea to change the name of your blind, so our blinds don't get mixed up, or worse. Your blind is interesting, but I agree about losing the branding. Looking forward to seeing the finished blind.
I use Auslogics Defrag...my son turned me on to it a few years back. IMO, it is the best out there, for me, at least! I defrag about once a month, as I do a lot of graphics design and websites, and things tend to get scattered all over the place! FYI, if there are a lot of typos here, please forgive me...I had cataract surgery yesterday and my vision is all messed up right now...lol. I get my other eye done next week, so I have to live with messed up vision till

You can import either all or part of the images from your Windows 7 blind. Then you can tweak the images...most notably, the start panel.&nb

Now, this is really weird... After I successfully removed the malware from my companion's computer, I decided to go ahead and install Windows 7 SP1 on his computer. He does not use Windowblinds. Prior to the install of it, he did not have that text in his search box. Now he does! He has Windows 7 Home Premium, 32 bit.
Somehow, this just does not sound right. Each of the items listed by Jazzymjr are changed individually in the Windows advanced settings so I would think that could be done in SKS. The Icon test inWindows controls the text in Explorer.
Thanks Jazzymjr. Where is this control located?
In SKS, Change Skin Fonts. It is usually the first font that is listed in the window that pops up. Click on the fonts until you see Background (Explorer) in the list on the right...the list that it is in is a long list...this is your main system font. Just remember that all the items in that list will have their font changed as well.
Thanks for the feature ID! Congrats to everyone else...well deserved!
