thx Bichur...you always come thru for me....I can assure you from past experiences reformatting or 'restoring' that the emoticons are definitely stored on the hard-drive as after 'cleaning house' + reinstalling on a freshly 'restored' C drive there is no trace left behind of the emoticons' as advised when initializing the 'restore disc' that 'all data on C will be destroyed, do you wish to continue'....the .gif's are obviously stored in a format that I am unaccustomed to seeing + not sure how MS
hey : trying to back up custom emoticons acquired chatting w friends on Messenger + no search of .gifs, local settings, documents + settings, emoticons in 'search' or in the 3 program groups related to Messenger revealed where these images are stored after 'adding'....any direction in this regard would be greatly appreciated as I would be at a loss if ever upgrading or 'restoring' to ever replace some of them w/o an existing backup...thx

now Stardock Central is getting all freaky after the Objectdock update failed to validate your ObjectDock Plus registration information...please verify you have entered your e-mail address + serial # correctly have been using the freeware version of this app since '04 + have purchased many superb Stardock products that enhance my laptop's aesthetic functionality considerably, but this error msg gives me pause for concern
