Missing: Wallace & Grommit Curse of the Wererabbit , Bruce Almighty , and a paperback copy of Cannery Row . I came home Friday to find the opened (and empty) Amazon package inside my apartment on top of two identical phone books. Another package (containing the issue of Secret Society of Super-Villains that has my birth month on the

If there is a superhighway up and down the East coast of the United States, people in India don't benefit from it. Does that make it less of a "superhighway"? If there is a village-like effect produced by the internet that encompasses all corners of the globe... would it make you feel better if they called it an 'international village' effect? It'd be nice to get more financially unfortunate people dialed-in. I can agree with you there. That point seems to be masked under w

Returned from a business trip. Minor issues when I arrived: My place doesn't stink (thankfully) but the air was very stale. I still need to clean, but nothing seems to be living in here. I have an issue with the post office and/or Amazon. My sister sent some presents for me and my boys, but the package was inside the apartment, opened and looted.

The War On Terror is like the The War On Drugs, yes, a battle against an idealogy or even a way of life. We've been less successful on the war on drugs, I think... but we've taken different tactics. It's a different target. Zoomba, do you want a formal declaration made against an idealogy? Would you then feel better about what we're doing, or feel that we would be held accountable for our actions? Ah, but you acknowledge that there is no

Dude, you're a HIC? Did they make you grow a bad 70's porn moustache (so that you could double for a guy in an old Western)? I have it on good authority that this is in the rules. There's a HIC in my BNCOC class, but he shaved his when he left the reservation. It's still on his ID card, though.

I love that photo, though, simply because of the way the little one is looking at his big brother. I noticed that, too. My sons are like that a lot. Scouting was really good to me growing up. I hope it's as good or better for your boys. And "good job" to the sender of the flowers. A

He equated Syria to the US. By Implication, since it was a one to one comparison, he was saying that we should know everything in a free society, as the thugs who rule Syria know everything. There is a reason that Iraq did not have the violence of the Saddam years. A totalitarian dictatorship that repressed the people to the point that you could not sneeze without the auth

Just wanted to highlight this online comic of the 9/11 Report. I think it's very well done and, although I'm a day late, well worth looking at in the light of the anniversary of the attacks.

Personal opinion: Divorce isn't a sin, and is in fact prudent in situations where you need to remove yourself for fear of your own safety (or even happiness). However, take a close look at your original scripture quote; the sin cited there is the remarriage. Make of that what you will, but it seems to me that you could divorce and remain companionless and be okay. I'm not sure I'm entirely okay with this, and it's something I think about a fair bit. Thankfully (?), I'm not r

and that is the reason I stopped reading comics . . . Although you'll get that sort of inconsistency in any but the most rigidly edited shared-reality series (multiple authors). I'm certain you could find the same sorts of things in the various Star Wars and Star Trek serieseses of novels.

The information was taken from forbes. Then you should've referenced the site and author of the original article. Posting it separately without citation makes it look like you're publishing it as your own work.

You need to reference the comics, man. If she touches them until they die, she gets their powers for good. In the comics, she's super strong, can fly, and still plays the parasite. Very cool. You need to reference the comics, man. Carol Danvers isn't dead. Also, if you take Rogue's power exact

The oldforums site (once the word gets out) will silence a lot of the old regulars who'd rather not change, but then you're supporting two forum types... it's still more constructive to try to improve your new format to the point where most of their specific complaints are addressed. I shot over to the oldforums version and the comfort of familiarity was immediate. I was unable to post a comment on a thread that I found, however. As

i think that is what troubles so many on "the other side of the fence" when it comes to these broad exercises of "executive power" and so forth...the administration, over and over again, puts out the position that their people looked it over and therefore it is,,,trust us. In actuality, collection programs like this are only barely looked at for

So you know for a fact that he wouldn't have developed lung problems or others health issues if he had never smoked? Similarly to your assumption that he enjoyed his life more because he indulged in smoking, or that you couldn't be even healthier if you hadn't indulged in your habits, yes, I think he "knows" that. Your one response seem

Thursday sucks because there isn't much on that I like to watch Thursday is UFC night, which I'll miss while I'm here (and I forgot to set the forsaken VCR!) unless I figure out this time difference and stake out the TV room ahead of time. I don't think I really need to go into my "it's sad whe

That's why I'm working on the biohazard and anarchy symbols; I'm trying to do something unique. Everything old is new again, huh? Then again, you don't see many of any of those knitted into a bracelet. Cool ideas. <img src="http://sign-maker.net/images/safety-sign-images/warning-7507.
