It's very psychological. Like when I try to get my little guy to help clean his room, I call him my "good little helper" and it motivates him to pitch in and help out. And instead of the "GREAT JOB" stickers I give him, the military gives its personnel pretty little ribbons to wear on their uniforms. (National Defense Ribbon?) If it works, great. Last I checked, we are at war and every member of the military needs to be as motivat

I was at my daughter's school the other day and saw three boys file into the principal's office. A fourth was sitting outside fuming. I smiled at him and said, "What are you in for?" He looked at me and said, "Two of those boys, they've got pink slips for " well, I can't quote him exactly, he was a sixth grader and upset and mostly incoherent, but the basic story is a couple of boys have been bullying him and his buddy and now they were in the pricipal's office. THis particular boy wasn't in
I'm sure Linux will come through for you I said EASY! I'm not tech-savvy enough for (l)unix. I remember sending countless emails to hardware and software manufacturers asking,no begging, for x64 support,to no avail. yuk yuk yuk!!!
128 mb video card oh yeah, it's got that too. And while the idea of 64 bit computing is COOL in theory, I'll wait a long, long time until there's a nice stable, easy OS to put into personal practical application. I don't think I'll have to think about it til they upgrade at work, and I don't think they'll be doing that too awful soon. (There's not a whole lot of thinking going on in that last sentence...)
my sister's birthday is March 1st Wow, your parents had amazing timing... Happy birthday!
XTINE 10/8 - Christine - still here? I'm here---Don't delete me----I've got two JU b-day club greetings under my belt, and going for my third!!!! Thanks, forever!
omg, we had a TSR-80!! And a TI-994A and a Commodore 64 before we got our first "PC".... ahhhh, those were the days.... and now I'm pretty close to obsolete, despite my continuous exposure to technology. I'm now in a workplace where I have an IT person available to me at pretty much anytime I need. While it's just FRICKEN' SWEET to go on break when the 'puter locks up and have it working when I get back, I do realize that my own personal skyllz are already oxidizing. <
I have a 92 Buick Regal, and going strong at 262,000 miles! It's that engine, it's a great engine. The tranny and suspension will go out before the engine (with proper maintenance of course!) and you've already done the tranny. Treat 'er well and she'll take you far! Incidentally, after 7 years of having mine, I'm now looking to move into a crossover SUV. I'm pretty much debt-free and ready to try my hand at this financing thing
I'll try....maybe! I'm still reading. Just been creatively blah.
Hi!!!!!! Wow, THANKS! What a nice post-b-day surprise!
I've moved to Fargo. Still in a 2-bedroom, but more square feet and just generally lighter and brighter. I've started a new job. I love waitressing but I need to make some real money with real benefits. Put in some overtime. I've had a bit of a crisis at the end of July beginning of August. Found out who some people are. Let your life go to hel
Wow, you've been doing this for a long time, because I remember I got a Happy Birthday from you last year, and it's coming up AGAIN! Holy cow where's the time go???
Random thoughts... How many soldiers are there in the world? Soldiers serving governments, not just little militias. And I wonder of this number what percentage of these soldiers are serving voluntarilary as opposed to compulsory. Then I muse...of the UN Peacekeepers available for the various conflicts around our globe, what percent are soldiers serving
hahahahaha!
Thank you all. I am hurting. I am hurting very bad. It's all my own doing and that makes the hurt that much more.
I dried my feet off in the shower so I wouldn't get the floor wet. I accounted for all my phone calls. I gave up my friends. I gave up my job. I put the lid down on the toilet seat. I cut back on my calorie intake. I learned about Nascar. I stopped chatting. I stood by through unem
Intercourse Communications = sex talk ?? ah, I love military terms.
ok, this is really flipping trippy a while ago, I watched an episode of trading spouses anyway, not pertinent to the trippiness but on this episode there was a wiccan chick so it was all about spells and potions etc so me being me and always wanting to know more about everything, I googled wicca <B
Now that you've got Socrates, I'm checking your blog more often just to hear news of him! LOL
can you use leeches?
I have two Buble cds and they are the most played in my collection. I'm jealous you got to see him, although I don't know if I could have enjoyed it as much as I do in my quiet living room, the lights dimmed, in my pjs, and a nice cocktail.
therfore you can be both an atheist and an agnostic I am both. Sorry if you can't wrap your head around it. But that is what I am. Perhaps I have multiple personality disorder. Thank you for all the kind comments! Thank you, especially LW, for taking the time to take the bite out of
I can totally deal with it. Was a little put-off by your title...and I wonder if you would be as put off if an article with the same tone as yours (a tad confrontational actually) was posted with the title, "I'm an ATHEIST, so deal with it!!"? That was my only impression with your monoloque.
Leeches are great bait for walleye! I actually prefer leeches to night crawlers or minnows. You just poke 'em right through the sucker part and push the barb all the way through and they're hooked. Mmmmm, walleye......
Awwww, so cute!!!!
