Haha, have you ever thought that maybe she's messing with you? Or that she's just not in the mood for a wiseass? I've waited on tables where they joke around with me and I deadpan. They stumble and say, "Hey, we're joking with ya!" And I say, "Yeah, I know. Me too." LOL, too much fun.

LW: I know you don't mean to (At least I HOPE you don't mean to), but your comment comes across to me as patronizing and minimizes the impact this event had on me as a child. Thank you for trying though. I was born, baptised, and raised Catholic. I am an atheist today, I was an atheist that day as well. I spent some time inbetween as an agnostic, as well as dabbling in several versions of Christianity, Baptist and Pentacostal are a couple example

The kittens died. One by one. I prayed to God that He would spare one. Daddy said that God must want more kitties in Heaven with Him...and that was why they were dying. The litter was large. Surely He could leave me one. I set my alarm for every two hours and fed those that remained with an eyedropper: carefully prepared milk, warmed by the dusty lines of moonl

My first thoughts as North Korea launches missiles..... Fourth of July, Independance Day, and we've successfully launched Discovery. What happens if they actually hit mainland Japan? Even if it's just a hunk of metal landing out in the middle of field? Hmmm..... I wonder about the families of the soldiers stationed at Camp Humphries,

Hiya DG. Her name isn't really Danielle. I've changed all the names to protect the guilty...er....innocent, yeah. And yes, this is her first. And she hasn't had any other trouble before. So yeah, it's kind of sucky for her. She knows she was wrong and she totally deserves it, but man. It's sucky.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. Been pretty busy, mostly busy thinking and prioritizing, but busy nevertheless. Remember us, the three musketeers? Me, Shania, and Danielle. Shania has been out sick for a while now. She had some compressed disks in her neck that decided to become painful about a month ago. She's finally starting to feel

Part of it is simply semantics and it can paralyze some. Tell me, is it better to say nothing than to say something that may offend even though its intent is kind? I have often wondered.

I know it may seem arrogant but sometimes I find myself in situations where I am called upon by my own morallity (such as it is) to educate. More often than not these days, the victims of my teachings are my customers. Luckily they're usually too drunk to be offended by my bluntness. Drunken Barely 21-year old man-boy slurs to me a couple of nights ago:

Nice read! I once worked in a lefse factory. For two hours. I was at the end of the line, bagging the finished product and somewhere up the line they kept burning the lefse. The entire place was filled with acrid smoke. I had contacts in. Mid-morning break I left without telling anyone and never went back. Not even sure if I got paid for those two hours.

I wanna read those essays You most likely already have! I have been toying however with re-posting some of my early Joeuser stuff. I don't know. It seems like I tried so hard at first and really had some good things to say (of course, I am my own best audience ya know!). <TABLE cellpa

Watching David Letterman interview Paris Hilton. It was interesting to see the change in her after David bantered a little too hard about her "tiff" with Nicole Ricce. It was like a flipped switch. Happy, relaxed, chit-chatty to slightly stiff, forced, and uncomfortable pauses in her phrases. Not that I care about the Hollywood gossip, but was neat to witness such

Wow! I am feeling VERY brave today to comment on one of your threads. (I am embarrassingly aware of my incompetence to comment constructively and usually just keep the up shut.) But I did just want to say that this reminded me of an unpopular stance I took in my senior year of high school, right before the Gulf War, when I wrote a paper supporting compuls

Actually, this was intended more as a venting letter. I really thought about sending it to him, but I wonder if he doesn't already know she's kind of quirky like this and just ignores it. I figured I'd ignore her as well until the boss says something to me. Then....oh boy watch out. I'm taking notes now.

Dear Manager of the Restaurant / Bar Where I Work: As I am sure you are already aware, I had a problem with Carrie last Friday evening. At 11:00 pm, I told her I was done for the night, punched out, and left. Apparently she didn't care to understand my reasons behind this and I don't feel obligated to enlighten her. For you though, I will. I w
