Oh Dharma, I am so sorry to hear this. And awed at your resolve. I honestly can say that I don't know how you do it. You are an amazing person, your children and your husband have been touched by fortune to have you in their lives.
Yay! Congratulations! And, hmmm, interesting. I didn't get sick with my son, but spewed spaghetti everywhere with my daughter. I never knew there was a wives tale about that. The one about heartburn and hair doesn't hold up either because my daughter didn't have much hair and boy did I have heartburn. Pringles & McDonalds would be the bane of my existance. My son though had so much hair that his father was reduced to tears in the deliv
Aren't infants below a certain age and weight supposed to be in carseats? as Tova said: Yup, she's out $390.
Balaclava I love that word.
Hey! I understood what you wrote! I should pick it up again, but out here in rural Minnesota....why bother? Good luck, have fun.
All my children's friends know that there are rules in my house. One day a neighbor boy gave me some lip and I told him that he wasn't allowed to use that tone of voice with me to which he replied he could say whatever he wanted. I picked him up and carried him over to the property line and set him on the other side of it where his parents where lounging around a campfire. I explained to them that their son had a bit of an attitude issue and he coul
Many years ago, when my daughter was small, we were over at a friend's house for a playgroup-type thing. Another mom asked which one was my child and I pointed her out saying, "She's over there playing with Chere." The lady asked who Chere was and I said, "The little black girl." My daughter overheard me and said quite indignantly, "She's not BLACK, she's BROWN!!!" Out of the mouths of babes.

I usually despise email jokes, but when they're handpicked for me by my friends, I will let them slide, even enjoying them every once in a while. My co-worker send me this one because its style of humor is one that she thought may appeal to me. She was right! I don't know the source, briefy attempted to snope it, but didn't care to seek it out further t
An awesome glass with blue swirls vase, a nice Calgon Hawaiian Ginger bath set, a scrunchy neck pillow, and a cute sweater. Plus, a Christmas bonus from work! But the best part of all was living the Santa-wonder through my three year old's eyes. We watched Polar Express last night and his cries of "It's SANTA! SANTA!" melted my heart. Listening to him on the phone this morning telling his dad that "Santa ATE the cookies!" just
Channel 5 on my tv broadcasts local events that have taken place in my little community. When I first moved here I thought, "Oh, how cheesy." Yet here I am tonight watching a re-run of my daughter's sixth grade band concert. And beaming with pride at her image on the screen. Oh how grown up! She's got boobs!!! Wait, she's got boobs?? Hell, when did that happen??

I believe Jesus was a real man, or maybe even a combination of men, that actually truly walked the earth. He/they were in the right places at the right time and preached a general message of love as well as other edicts that the human race needed at the time to live in harmony.
Sometimes it's really hard to keep your head and not let emotions take over. That's where I struggle at work sometimes because my boss is so all over the place which frustrates me. But the times I can and I present a calm and reasonable argument, he almost always agrees with me and goes with my recommendations! Taking that deep breath isn't the hard part, it's thinking fast and keeping your cool. Nice anecdote Gideon. <img src=
Though I always though Einstein was Jewish(?). He was by hertiage. I don't know more specifics than that. And I'm too lazy today to Google it. Wow, LW, I'm definately going to have to explore this thing you call Chaos. Sounds really bizarre, and I love the bizarre. Who knows, maybe I'l
Comment just for your Schroedinger's Cat reference!
I wanted to comment to give you points and let you know that I attempted to read this but it's too out there for my wee little brain. I tried though! Your Santa one was more my level!
BTW, I love how you phrased: we're here because otherwise we wouldn't be This is the way I live life, either it will happen or it won't. If someone asks me, what are the odds that such-and-such will occur, I always say 50/50, either it will, or it won't. <img src="../images/smiles/s
Thanks for your comment! There's a bigger difference yet, because if it is by a god then we have to consider if it's a god that is personally interested in humans as a species, as an intelligence, as individuals. While listening to "Einstein's God," it came up that Einstein didn't believe The Lord (as he was referred to as calling it) HAD that personal interest. Made me wonder then what interests his "Lord" did have. I am soo cu
Kind of had some neat thoughts last night while listening to "Einstein's God" on NPR. Einstein was quoted as saying God does not play dice with the universe when talking about quantum mechanics. I just love the concept of quantum mechanics. Something so random. Things just are completely unpredictable at the quantum level. So here's a though
I personally am getting a kick out of those who say that by saying they don't believe in god, atheists by default prove the existance of that which they deny. So by not believing Santa means there is a Santa????? Yay!! I've been really really good this year......
Strange you opt-in to conversations about such, then... My bad. Go away Baker, haven't you figured out yet I don't like you?
