Way to be an ass, Pete

I'll definitely have to check that out, Captain. That's pretty freakin' sick, but again, ya gotta think of where we are lol!
I barely got into it a few years ago, but I quickly grew away from it. You should have waited a week, a bunch of my friends and JU users are into Magic and would love to talk/argue about it.
I think we all await the end of racism, sexism, etc, but it will never happen. All the same stuff gets on my nerves, but it's not going to change so I'm not going to waste precious carpal muscles on bitching about it. Work harder than the next guy, and you can earn all kinds of stuff.
No kidding, you're thinking way too much about it. I went through the same thought process when I was in 5th grade, wondered why we even live when we're just going to die anyway. We make a difference to our loved ones, who also only live a short while. But I believe every one of us leaves an impact on our surroundings for the future. Planting a tree will make a difference. Watch "It's a Wonderful Life" with Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed, he ask
Hey everyone, this is my 1330th point!!! Holy smokes, everyone send me money and throw me a party. Keep up the good work Cap'n, no matter the number.
Oh man, that was hilarious lol. You had some nasty wounds after that. I thought after dinner we went back out for a little more practice until dark time. I know you guys will have a great time this year, have a little Deet for me! Remember: tight spaces, low ventilation, Deet=good times.
Some movies require a sequel, like LOTR and Harry Potter, I guess. Spiderman could do with another one, but only if they are well made. Some of them are getting ridiculous though. Movies in general are getting ridiculous, but granted there is a goodly amount of decent movies. Remakes are just as bad. My parents may see a trailer for some movie and I'll say "boy that looks funny" and they'll say "well you should have seen the original". I'm sur
Sex ed is important, and I agree this guy has some iffy ways of teaching it. It always seemed like a hard subject to teach though. With the amount of PC crap we have in this country now, I'm surprised the teachers are allowed to teach anything and expect to get the message across (i.e. having to use innuendos and the like). You certainly couldn't use "volunteers" or examples in the classroom. Then you've got to deal with the kids, usually a bu
Interesting. No other words do justice to my reaction, or the level of ablity to which you have arrived.
I haven't read your blog a lot until recently, but it's going under my favorites (that I now know how to edit ). I know as much as I try to sound sophisticated and blog like an adult, I just sound lke a teenager trying to do just that. It's all good, I don't let it get to me. You haven't done anything to me that's deceptive or anything like that, so you're still a clean blogger in
SWEET!!! You're freakin' awesome. I swear the 'Manage Site Custom Links' thing didn't show up two days ago when I tried. Thanks again. Consider yourself the saver of my sanity
I like the idea of no alarm clock, that'd be my kind of job. However, I think computer programmers are the only workers who have that luxury, besides the self-employed. Computer programmers always seemed like really cool guys, really off the wall humor, but kind of "know-it-alls". Get two people who know a bit about computers and have them argue about something, some wicked insults start flying there. Great list. Even if I don't agree with som
How in bloody hell do I edit my favorites?!? I've done it before obviously but I have no idea how to get back to it. If there's an FAQ section where this would be answered, I'd be greatly obliged if I could kindly be pointed in it's direction so I don't make an idiot out of myself like this again.
Capt, your creativity never ceases to amaze me. I mean, I never would have thought to try to eat my way out of the cheese. That's a terrible incident though. I hope your foot gets better, you gotta look out for that cheese!
They wouldn't carry shoes in my size anyway lol. What baffles me is that they sell men's pajamas, which are like someone elses boxer shorts. That is DISGUSTING. Underwear is over the line, but I guess that's rural Ohio for ya.
I am by no means sympathizing with this twisted person, but I'm not surprised the "Kill the bitch" sign was taken down. You should send a plate of cookies or something to those people, they just publicized what everyone in your community and now the JU community think of her. The justice system needs to step back, pry their noses away from the technicalities of the law, and look at what she's done. Some murderers, rapists, and thieves get off
Zoomba, that was brilliant. I think that's the way I've always felt but never had the rhetorical prowess to share it properly.
Volunteers of America has got to be one of my favorite places to shop. I just got back not too long ago, I bought a long sleeve polo and some slim-fitting dress pants. Maybe it's just the indie rocker in me coming out, but I like dressing up really goofy. My brother got this really awesome multicolored long sleeve polo which I happened to be wearing right now. <BR
psychx is right, I think a psychology class is the only place you'll an answer lol. The only thing I can contribute is that things are the way they are because of previously set standards of living, as far as the shaving and the makeup. Some of it is the media, too. As for the groups/cliques, I wouldn't invest too much worry into that. The popular kids you're talking about, most of them are assholes. I don't know if you're includi
If they're going to get rid of unfunny comics, why doesn't every paper drop Apartment 3G, Prince Valiant, and Ziggy? I think if businessmen wanted to "maximize the appeal of their product", they could drop other comics and features before Doonesbury. If "numerous complaints" were received, obviously there was a large reader base. Hopefully the Columbus Dispatch won't drop it (I'm not sure if it's with Continental Features), but I usually fin
I'd probably say the same stuff that everyone else already has. I feel the same way as well, my articles hardly get any response unless it's vulgar (female orgasm) or controversial (Pete Maxwell). Write to write, your blog counts just the same as everyone elses here. I reply to plenty of articles, and unless it's political, I usually never see them again and I don't care if people think I'm just a stupid kid who doesn't know anything about anything.<BR
Beebes, I can hear you saying that stuff too. Those are golden. I like the last one.
I usually go right down the right side and open up any stories that look intriguing (in a new tab, with Mozilla /shameless plug). Then I just troll around, usually get pissed off at someone's article, and leave.
Are you allowed to pitch the script anyway and try to be friendy to the people? I suppose that'd be just as bad; if I was on the other end, I wouldn't want to get chummy with the telemarketer.
