On my mid-level notebook running the released builds, I have seen better stability and the UAC now becoming easy to disable, leaving the notification icon (which can be hidden) in the tray. Clear your cache to force ObjectDock Plus to load with the defaults. This will tell you whether or not the program is supported to use tabs on the tablet. From a manufacturing view point (of which I am intimately aquainted), it is much easier to set up the machinery to run one part, than to run a number of parts. A good move on Microsoft's part if you think of millions of that one part being manufactured. If the current (2004+) programs can be updated, and the new programs are incorporating the new abilities in Vista, I would say we could have some real fun with the new OS. Try clearing the cookies and temporary files in 'Internet Options' and then start Stardock Central. If the server connection still has issues, you can go to the "Tools menu > Settings > Internet category" and use the drop-down 'Current Server' list to select another server if listed and retry the connection.
