Good article, IMO. I can certainly live with improved hardware, Windows XP, and Object Desktop for quite some time. So, I agree, who cares when they release the thing as long as it is actually ready.

Probably an MS Script issue. There have been intermittent reports of the MS script associations with JScript and VBScript with DesktopX and some systems. You can reinstall the MS Script using this page if ever needed WWW Link

Nice one, Mike. Glad to see this one updated for WB5, I tried the old one I have in WB5 and had magic pink all over the place... I think I will wait for the issues to be sorted before ordering. I always did love this suite. BTW - is the WMP skin compatible with WMP 10?
Corky_O, I can't reproduce the same problem in Reply #21 using your directions It must be something on my home notebook then, as I can logon with no problem here from work in same version IE browser. Perhaps the infamous NIS 2006 is creating issues at home. Note - I can sort it by closing/re-opening the browser and opening WC site.

You indicate that you have ObjectDock, not Object Desktop. Is this correct? If so, and you have ObjectDock Plus (the purchased version), then the 1.3 version is the current version. I believe you would have received 1.2 on the June 2006 date, so this would mean (if Stardock is still using the same system) that you are entitled to updates through version 2.2 (if they get that far). Okay, this may be a dumb question. Are you going to the "C:\Program Files\SOFTWARE COMPANY\PROGRAM\PROGRAM.EXE" file to select the program you want to exclude? I do not run Firefox, but I do know the Photoshop selection should work.
Are you referring to the shareware, or purchased version? I ask because the purchased version needs to be activated, which requires the "Activate.exe" file to have access to the internet. A little more information such as: - Operation System - Firewall software name - Version of WindowBlinds ....would help someone direct you in a helpful way.
You might try rebooting the computer. Sometimes WindowBlinds will not apply changes until reboot (perhaps due to files in use). If that does not work, you might try changing the skin and applying the changes, then revert back to the dark skin. Note - I have not used the shareware version for more than two years, so if you are, there is a chance that the shareware version is limited and does not allow 'per application' exclusions - not sure on that one. <img src="http://images.s

You're giving me a headache, Jafo.... For my part, I use an external USB drive to hold Ghost images of the drives. On the notebook, I run one drive with one primary partition. On the former Desktop, I ran one master drive with one partition for the OS and programs, and one slave drive for holding all images, music, etc. - with all important images, music, etc on DVD backups. <br/

This is the version referred to as "WindowBlinds Classic" version 4.6 for Windows 2000 or earlier. This version will not install on a machine running Windows XP or newer. There is also a version 4.6 which is available to Object Desktop subscribers via Stardock Central which can be installed and run under Windows XP.
If you go here https://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/download.asp - you can download the "WindowBlinds Classic" version by clicking the blue WindowBlinds Classic text at the top. Note - there is no real support for this version running under Windows '98, so if it works great, if not - you are pretty much out of luck.
