So just go ahead and restore the image, then partition the disk afterward? Guess that makes sense. It's been years since I've messed with partitions. The big question right now seems to be if Windows can restore it to a new drive at all. Several different articles on recovering Windows, but no real answers as to how to restore to a new drive when the old one fails. Seems to be counter-productive. o_O
I have a slight problem. The hard drive that I have Windows installed on is a bit too noisy for me (has this very annoying hum vibration) and I would like to replace it with a different drive. Unfortunately they seem to have discontinued the drive I currently have (a 320gb) and now there's only a 500gb. I only want Windows on this drive, no data. So I had the idea of partitioning the drive to have the Windows partition and use the other for data storage. My problem is this...is there a way to

"The only element of Impulse that actively runs is Impulse Now and it can be easily disabled from the preferences within the Impulse icon in the system tray." I still do not understand why that has to be opt-out instead of opt-in. Maybe if it didn't install itself to run at startup without user permission/notification, then people wouldn't see it as malware or a resource hog. I'm a Voyager girl myself, but that was awesome. Hate to admit it, but the song had a nice beat to it.

Well that's just shitty. Why is the option even there if it doesn't do anything? It's like we're being teased and taunted, and handicapped at the same time. [e digicons][/e]
Well you'd think editing something as basic/important as the flashing button would actually work. Think of how many skins have a darker/lighter button image for the flashing button than the normal buttons that would require a different color text...but we can't do it. I swear I was able to change this in the past, probably in the version 6 days, but then again...maybe I couldn't. Really hope this gets fixed.
I don't use it either and was quite perturbed that I couldn't remove it from the nav pane. So instead I went back to FindeXer and changed the pinned taskbar shortcut where explorer opens to point to my wallpapers folder instead of the useless libraries.
We need some kind of on-demand flashing button app for skin testing purposes. [e digicons]:cylon:[/e]
I've found that opening something in WMP (was opening from my dock) would make the player taskbar button flash ("hey! wmp is open!")
The skin desc says he updated the show desktop button, maybe you need to update yours.
Heh, I'm quite versed in editing stuff in SKS, but for some reason this is the only exception. I have the normal states as white, activated as black, and wanted to change flashing to black, but it remains white, even after saving the skin. It's like it's not registering. See image.
I've been trying to adjust the text color for the flashing button, on several different skins, and no matter what I change it to, it doesn't change to the color I select. It seems to stay on the same color as the normal buttons. I don't know what the problem is. SKS 7.09d BETA WB 7.10 build 273 x64 Windows 7 x64
