I had mentioned this in another topic I created about how to get drive info icons working, but I thought I'd post it here as a bug/support issue for better attention to the issue. Anyway....I recently installed AveDesk 1.2 to add shortcut icons etc to my desktop, but they weren't showing up and I tracked the problem to IconX. After I disabled IconX, the avedesk icons appeared. So my question is: Is there anyway to have these two programs wor

Not seeing any such thing here (xp pro sp2). Only General and Summary, and there's no "change icon" button on either tab.
Yeah I found the right screenshot. Have you tried what I mentioned in my other post? That should work.
Hmm, ok, erase that C: stuff from the Start in, I left all those blank. Put the C:\ at the top line where is says Path: this is where the shortcut points to.
Apparently I can save the individual icons from the .icl package with this Axialis IconWorkshop program, cool. Thanks for your help. ^_^
I'm also wondering how to change the icons for my computer, my docs, network places, recycle bin etc on the desktop. For the life of me I can't remember where those are changed since it can't be done by right click > change icon like most other icons. Could someone remind me (for XP)? Thanks. Ignore this one...a friend just showed me where it was (desktop
I'm actually not using icon packager, but rather the OEM manager thingie that came with the alienmorph download. I had some issues with icon packager in the past and haven't reinstalled it. Is there anyway to do that without having to install icon packager again?
Red33mer...I had that problem too, it wasn't going to my c drive...my problem was I had the slash backwards. Should be C:\ which works for me. For my C Drive I'm using this in the label format: %f free - %t total %# %s used (%pU %%) For my Anime and Mp3's shortcuts:%s %r - %f %r files Does anyone have any solutions for the 2 problems I menti
If you go here https://www.stardock.com/support.asp you can enter your email address and you will get an email from stardock with a link to the download and the serial for the program. That's how I've gotten my enhanced versions of windowblinds and cursorxp. I assume it will work for the object desktop package giving you the links to the individual programs that come with it, but I'm not 100% on that (I could be totally wrong too). <img src="http://
Another Firefox security hole eh? Get used to them! There's no such thing as bug free software, that's absolutely unreleastic. Let's not forgot about the 30+ IE holes there are or whatever it is. At least Firefox development is quick to address and make fixes to their software.</fo
I thought I'd just update this because I was getting messy editing my other post while figuring the whole thing out. I pretty much got the whole thing working, screenie here: http://bebi.banterboard.com/march-dark.gif Even got the ftp desklet working...that is one super cool feature! Remaining problems: 1. I'd like to change the generic "show desktop" icon on the quicklaunch to another icon that I've downloaded, how would I go about doing this? I'm using XP Pro. TIA.
I suggest going to cordelia.wincustomize.com, she's made a ton of great tutorials for some of the most popular stardock products.
Yeah same, when I'm the last poster in a thread it's still showing as new posts no matter how many times I've read it or how much time has passed. I thought that was fixed.
Yes they are showing in the control panel but I really have no idea why they aren't showing up on my desktop. And about the setting the icon, if I right click on a icon on my quick launch, I'm given the open to choose from all the icons in the .icl file, but with avedesk it will only let me choose an ico or png, and I'm not sure how to get to each individual icon in the icon packager pack. <img src="http://images3.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Hmm.gif" bor
Well first...might want to give it more time than a couple hours. And second, there was a thread a while back about the use of logos and what-not, the NFL in no-way allows the use of their logos. They don't allow it at all. Not sure about the other franchises but I'm sure it's the same policy. Thus skinners won't be able to use the logos without punitive acti
Well, I tried it but nothing is showing up on my desktop. o_O I can't seem to figure out how to choose the icon I want either, I'm using the AlienMorph icons and want it to use the right image for the hard drive, recycle bin, and etc.
Getting an error now when trying to edit my posts. Message : Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Source : Wincustomize Stack Trace : at Wincustomize._error.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e)<BR
I've posted there too. Hopefully he'll see it an lend a helping hand. Thanks for your help. ^_^
Hi Boss, I've posted a topic here Link asking how to setup the icons on the desktop to show the drive information and was wondering if maybe you could give a step-by-step how-to on how to achieve it? As I mentioned in my thread, I've downloaded and installed AveDesk but am stumped as far as how to use it goes. I haven't had much experience with those kinds of customizations (
Well, I downloaded it and installed it but have no idea what it is or what to do with it, doh (looks like a Mac thing? I'm running XP Pro). >_ Would still appreciate it if someone could give me a step-by-step guide on how to get the icons working like in the screenshot. Thanks for the link Zero.
I've seen this on a few screenshots and I would like to do the same on my desktop, but I have no clue how. Could someone explain the steps in an easy to understand fashion on how I could achieve the same thing? I heard someone say it was using DesktopX, I have version 2.x something. TIA. <img src="http://images3.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="abs
I noticed some broken images after updating my honorific on the "thanks, update saved" screen. It also seems that the issue about topics that I've read still being marked as new posts is rearing it's ugly head again.
I can change mine too in my account preferences, still a citizen as you. :S *just tested it out*
Just open up paint or photoshop, and just press ctrl+v to paste the image. I'd also recommend IfranView to take screenshots. It will give you the option of taking a shot of your whole desktop, an individual window (like your browser, notepad, etc) or of a client area. Then after the shot has been taken you can just go to file > save as.
