The one thing I have wanted for years is to place the Windowblinds folder on a different drive to C: Back when 60gb or 120gb SSDs were still quite expensive, it would have been great to have been able to select D: or even E: drives to store WB skins when space was very much limited after the OS and essential programmes were installed. Sadly, it didn't happen, and while prices of SSDs have fallen quite significantly in recent years, and sizes increased to various Terabyte o

I have been fascinated with space and space travel ever since I was a kid. There wasn't much in the way of sci.fi on TV back in the late 50's early 60's, but regularly there were all sorts of news items due to the so-called space race, and that is what got me interested. Don't get me wrong, I do love sci-fi a lot, but the real thing is so captivating and educational. What really captured me as a 'space buff', though, was the moon landing with Neil Armstrong in 1969.

[quote who="admiralWillyWilber" reply="26" id="3800463"] I signed up in 2008. It would be nice to put options on the set up page, but I’ve never seen that. You would have to had gone to your page with all your information. It would have been by your picture, but it has gotten easier to find over the years. For many years people didn’t usually fill out their information. I guess you have to prioritize looking for these things. A bunch of emails was incentive for me. Brad is ta

Maybe Apple to some extent, but Linux just isn't mainstream or mature enough to replace a Windows OS. There are some who like the Mac OS, even prefer it, but again, it has some way to catch up with Windows 10 in terms of usability and wouldn't be considered by the majority of PC users. Not only that, Apple has been removing apps from its OS as well as hard coding the UI so it cannot be altered. Nope, I don't see too many jumping ship.... or more succinctly put, jumping fro

With MS continually fiddling with the UI and introducing changes that inhibit or prevent customisation, I doubt that Windowblinds and other UI enhancers will work too well. As it is MS has hard coded various aspects of the UI, now it's a question as to how much more will MS do to frustrate developers and/or users?

It was my first and only time on Facebook, but before I could go back to tweak things my inbox was filling up faster than I could empty it.... over 700 emails in just hours... and more of the same the next day. I was in my late twenties when I copped a dose of tetanus.... the damned cat had crapped in our kitchen and I was showing it the door when it bit me just above my right thumb. I didn't think much of it to begin with, being a tough macho man at the time, but then I started becoming rather ill and was taken to hospital, where I was told that I had tetanus.... that no, I couldn't go shark fishing any time soon. @ redskittlesonly. I think Covid-19 isn't going away any time soon, not with more than 7.8 billion people worldwide to vaccinate... not once but twice. It will be a logistical nightmare to administer vaccine to that many people dispersed so far and wide around the world... some in remote, often inaccessible places. Hopefully, the major, wealthier countries will support the smaller, less wealthy countries and assist in their roll-out of the vaccines. I think that is

I never liked or trusted Facebook, not after I was bombarded with ads and emails asking if I knew this or that person. I think my account is still there but I've not bothered going back for about 10 years, nor will I. Moreover, nor will I do business with online traders when they force visitors to sign in via Facebook. So many places online these days have a button so you can like them on Facebook. Well fuck that, I want nothing to do with that or anything els

Banned for thinking I deal in small change.... No, I launder the notes [in US bills] in the washing machine here at home. I haven't used a coin-op laundromat since I was around 18 and had just moved out of my parents place. However, I got sick of having to haul my washing there, having to wait around an hour or so before having to haul it all back home again. I ended up purchasing a Sanyo twin-tub for about 80 bucks.... a good machine, too, I had it for near on 30 ye
