Thats only a difference of 888k-721k = 167,k I'm seeing that already... LOL I just suffered approx (well now quite that much because I submitted 2 games) and went from 13th place down to 24th and back up to 22nd.. I think it makes things clearer.. as opposed to when I posted a 60k game and saw my score drop by about 110,000 .. I'd be able to see that submitting a game didn't give me a negative score.. you'll notice that your score will appear to decrease more than if you'd have started submitting 4 games in the 30 day block.. but onlu until your 2-3/week games get into the 290+ days block.. then it'll level to the true 5% aging drop.. this is due to the raw total / squareroot(number of games) = average score * squareroot(number of games). because tthe number of games/block will change from 12 down to 4 which would mean that if you submitted 12 games at 60,000 the equation would be <b

Nicely explained.. One thing that isn't explained clearly with examples is the effect of aging IE: depending on how many games you actualy have in any block that blocks contribution to your score can make your score actualy Go UP .. or Down depending on how many games you have in any block on a daily bases on when you submit your latest game.. eg: lets say that you have submitted 3 60k games in the newest block all on different days.. and say 5 in the next block.. an

This is my biggest problem with the metaverse as it stands.. it that If you don't submit a game then your score doesn't get recalced.. To get around this I suggest that stardock puts in place a daily forced recalc on those who havn't submitted a game that day.. EVERYDAY .. so that EVERYONES scores get treated the same wether they are submitting games or NOT this will help promote submition of games at least 1 in any 30 day period ... it will also let people see whats going on w

I probably would NOT stick around id the metaverse was reset.. IT DOESN'T NEED TO BE.. JUST PULL YOUR FINGERS OUT AND YOU CAN MAKE IT If I can get up to and stay in the top 25 then anyone can.. Its very doable.. just don't ecpect to get there overnight or even in a couple of months.. maybe 6 months and you'll get there with enough stability to remain there for quite a while.. remember slow but sure wins the race... Why arn't I in number 1 spot then.. because

thanks pheonix.. I didn't think that games had been dropped.. IU'm glad its just from a recalc.. loosing 110,000 points approx is a hard pill to swollow but thats the nature of the beast we call the metaverse .. I can only hope that its now doing the recalcs for ALL players not jusat the acrive players on a daily basis

can someone please check my score to see if it is correct.. or if there has been a glitch in the metaverse.. As I can't see (can't spot that itsa effected anyone else... i'm probably wrong... again) thanks in Advance remember the metaverse is not a tdy place.. its cruel and harsh just like the coldness of space... it doesn't care wether you win or loose... and that you cannot change the laws of physics just because you don't like them... hey I do understand what you guys are complaining about.. as my score just took another drop from 94000+ to 77000+ now thats a lot more than a 60k drop.. (why do you guys think that I havn't been able to cross that magig 100,000 every time i get close my 2 bad months of non playing catches up with me.. But thats the nature of the metaverse... and I've really got no one to blame but myself... and yes i've been trying to find a bug in the metaverse scroing system but to no avail.. <b

The only thing that is unfair is that if you stop playing that your scores dont decrease and age the same as active players.. If this were fixed then the metaverse would be a lot fairer.. eg: those players who have retired will remain at that score untill major metaverse recalc.. which is wrong.. they should decrease according \as if they were submitting a null game every 30 day period since their last submition.. as for other scoring methods there is nothing stopping people from doing

ok... now to fully understand what stardock was after with the metaverse.. 1. a place where we can compete and record out scores 2. a way that people arn't greatly disadvantaged because they can only play 1 or 2 games a month while others have northing better to do. 3. a way to reduce players loosing interest in playing the game by playing the game a lot for sayu 1 month and never play it again 4. a way to encourage people to submit at least 1 game in a 30 day

All that can be done realisticly is being done... no matter what you do to make a game untouchable it is always touchable.. and especially if it has high score lists or transfered data... Stardock is doing the right thing.. catch those who abuse the system knowingly and dealing with them..
