Great ... the more the merrier... I myself can't see the need to have multiple submitting accounts.. however its nice that stardock does allow for multiple posting/forum accounts for chatting/roleplaying ;) Maybe Stardock could offer a discount for already existing customers of a particular product who whish to purchace more of the same product to give to friends or use as multiple accounts.. This to me sounds like a great promotional idea...
Blue_Steel
its still on x,y but looking 3d ie: objects (ships / planets) are 3d rendered and positioned so that the middle of the objects intersect the x,y plane
LOL... those Aldarians... they have such a simple sence of humour.. not to mention that they daydream a lot... If they'd OPEN their eyes... they'd see that they arn't alone in the metaverse .. well maybe if they'd develope long range scanners they's see us... LOL
Steve thats up to Stardock's disgression.. They can decide at any time to make that non functional. its better to (safer) to have it using another ID.. Stardock warns that if you abuse the system that you will be banned.. its ment so that you can have multiple login's for use in the forums.. not so that you can submit scores under multiple names.. Anyone using that method to sumbit games under different names may just log in one day to see that some or all of those accounts cl
yes.. you'll end up with 2 accounts.. IE: one using your old email address, stardock reg no.,username, alias and the other with a different email address, stardock reg no.,username, alias just set it up properly and you'll be fine.. Don't use the same reg info, account info email address atc... when setting up a new account
you can do that... just do it in the right forum.. ie: the empires forum... but be prepared for propaganda about the pirates poaching other players from empires... LOL Of which I am a major instingator.. LOL I really get under some peoples skins when I use my special Anti-Propaganda machine / Taunting device .. its well known throughout the metaverse...
Over the past 14 days (well since I suggested the daily recalc) I've only submitted 2 games and my score has changed at least 4 times during that perion .. So I believe that the metaverse is recalcing regularly.. Sorry.. I didn't realise that you were just after another filter.. As i've stated in another thread there are bugs in the filters that need to be addressed to.. so I agree another filter could be usefull.. I'm all for configurability.. but where do you draw the line.. how muc
it ill work.. you don't have to install more than one copy of the game.. all you need to do is setup a new account with a different email address and username .. then you can choose which one you want to submit the game under at the submit to the metaverse screen.. IMPORTANT NOTE: once you've submitted a particular game to the metaverse account .. it stays with THAT account.. even if you try to submit it to another account it won't work.. so be careful that when you submit a game that y
Cari.. I was wondering.. if the ships are stacked are all their inages updated when the stack moves.. I'm asking this because when I have only 1 stack and 1 planet on the screen the ships still move slower the bigger the stack Or is it as I summised.. in my prevous reply
There is NO need to WEED out the Inactive players... they are already penalized by reducing scores on recalc.. (which is why I'd like to see forced recalcs on those who arn't active on a regular period.. I myself would like to see it done every day.. others have suggested once a week) If this was done then they would soon end up dropping down the rankings.. I've now stated this in about 4 msg threads.. there in no need to reset players or the metaverse EVER unless there is pro
Thanks.. so there IS a bug ... I didn't think that i was going mad... I'm already paranoid enough without being mad LOL ummm.. Stardock can you please fix this .. it shouldn't be that hard to do...
about my quickest game .. it took me about 2 1/2 hours my agverage games take me about 4 hours (note: they used to take me 2 days thats about 16 hours of playing) I honestly don't know how people can play the game any quicker and still finish in or after 2190 (thats a magic year... hint... hint... don't finish before then) another tip.. its harder to get a high score when playing good against good.. its easier to get a high score playing evil against evil.. I need to play longe
It happens to me also when mooving ships.. when it happens is when you have lots of ships Stacked (grouped) together.. the more you have in a stack/group the slower they move.. I think it also depends on how many ships (sprites) total are in the game (both yours and the AI's) as the ships data has to be updated and if there are gaps (IE the ships in the stacks arn't created in order one after the other) then it has to search the ships stacks (in programming terms) to find which ships ar
to expand on the first part of my original message my record according to TopPlayers Overall score Games Score 71____891337 when I select the morality setting Evil 37____690974 Neut 18____158582 Good 10____286480 All. 55____911739 when I add evil neut and good it comes to 55____1136036 not at all what ALL comes up with.. and Totaly different to my total overal score on the top25 players list ---- Weyrleader: thanks for
ummm... Shouldn't the Overall Morality scores reflect the same as the General Top player scores.. If so then there is a problem because they don't .. even the total number of games is out.. Another thing.. I just submitted a new game to the metaverse... and my score doesn't reflect it.. teither to my number of games.. prior to submitting I had 71 games submitted according to the top25 list.. and it should now read 72 shouldn't it.. after submitting another game ??? Ve
BTW: has anyone else noticed that in GC2 screen shots in the above link.. that some planets are larger than 1 sector grid.. (look at the big blue gas giant.. its 2*2)
I was replying to Aldsars reply.. in which he stated that AI's never build TS's ..
Allert... Alert... AI's now DO build Terror Stars .. Alert.... Alert.... however they don't (well not yet) attack with them.. and they do know that they are terror stars and not just beefed up starbases.. as they actualy change to the ship class of terrorstar and not starbases when they get built
Shameless plug by the pirates.. :( I thought that you were only alowed to add a recruitment line IF and WHEN you give helpful info.. and then only once per msg thread.. except in the empires forum that is..
:SURPRISED:
Please ... lets get back on topic... "Explanations about some metaverse behaviors"
you can have pq%+'s passed 30%... what triggered the cheat was that they changed the party back again.. (I've worked out the max your allowed.. others know it too i'm sure.. ) and your right anything you chanmged in the partys effect all players including the AI's so you all get those bonuses As I stated before it was because they changed the party back from their moded party that triggered the cheat anomoly in the submitted games.. They've changed the game so that you
Its bringing back memories of that incodent that we all don't like talking about where stardock dropped games that they stated were cheating.. I'm pretty sure that loth was one of them involved.. I can't remember clearly.. stardock never (to my memory stated who they were..) I know it was from high up on the ladder and posting a lot of games / day .. it did come as a huge shock to all
we've got vto stop writting messages at the same time... LOL
mayto888 isn't showing any games prior to 2004.. maybe he accidently reset his account by changing player name.. so their scores may have been dropped.. but they do have a score on the metaverse ladder.. http://www.galciv.com/metaverse/index.asp?searchtext=mayito8888&TopPlayersList=Overall&GalaxySize=0&submit2=GO
