Minors.. what minors.. I have them turned off... I duno if thats cheese... I think it could actually make the game harder.... LOL

Of course if you join StarFleet ;) then it'll be a different story.. I'll share all my secrets if you want them and if you email me Note: I have to be sure that your committed (or should be committed like i need to be.. LOL really insane here) to the furtherment / improvement of the empire
Sorry i've been playing it for toooo loooong to stil have any valid first impressions.. other than I found it easier than GalCiv to get high scores..... OH... and its a great game ;)
I won't tell you mine till Cari has fixed that exploitable bug... then if your still interested i'll tell you... :) As I'm the only really active player in Starfleet it would be to my detriment to give away my secrest and or tactics or even really smelly cheese
arghhhh..... ctl-n is jusat the same as quitting and starting again... no difference... Are you trying to tell me that you never ever quit a game that your loosing.... and then start a new game ... sheesh what is cheese however is starting a game saving it activating cheat mode pressing Ctl-U (to view the map.. and take not of where things are) then reloading your save game and using that data you wrote down or memorized .. but there is nothing to stop
The Outlandish bribes has been on Cari's fix list for a while.. and I do believe that its being fixed in the next update.. (at least a weak) When this exploitable bug gets fixed (yes.. she told me that there is supposed to be a limit on the number of months that you can go for) so I do expect the number of alliance wins to drop when its fixed (and yes you can blame me for getting this fixed.. I reported it when all the talk about cheating started.. as I thought it may have been how
changing the perty at the start does as you say.. and theres nothing wrong with that in itself.. but what he did in the middle or end of game is what is cheating.. and he doesn't strike me as being that stupid not to know that it wasn't cheating... as the AI's can't chop and changfe parties in mid game.. the game isn't designed to do it that way.. and so the data could have got corrupt.. and changing back to the same party all the time could have corrupted the data in the exact place where the a
Glad to here that my memory hasn't failed me yet :) thanks for looking it up for me :)
for example.. what ewver you used may have overwritten the wrong area of data that was going to be submitted.. thus maybe making it look like the same game resubmitted ... which could be the case... ??? think about it... you don't know exactly what was overwritten do you.. especially if you don't even know what a hex editor is... eg: dfid you study or compare the data being transmitted ?? of course not..
I seem to recall that the registration of a player in the metaverse stated that if Stardock caught you cheating that you would be deleted from the metaverse.. (I'm not going to try to get that page up again as I don't want to wreck my account) If someone newer can remember the wording I think that it'll help.. What I hate is that when ppl get caught cheating is that they always invariabley try to get out of it anyway they can.. and start saying "why me" .. R
I don't think is because of a party mod.. as I'm using one myself and nonme of my scores have been deleted... (thank heavens) I use some cheeses too.. and my games are still in place (In fact some of the cheeses I discovered are being used by lots of others.. with no ill effects). Any party changes effect the AI players too (so i've been told) the only advantage that you can get from the player stats from the start of the game that give players bonuses over the computer players are the
Well.. Stardock did state the reasons.. If they had have given us a hex dump of the data transmitted then others could be tempted to follow and try it out for themselves.. and for those that don't understand the raw data would only get confused by it.. When Companies catch hackers they don't tell their members how the hacker got in.. same principal here... the prevous assertioon as has once again poped up was due to anomilous scores being repetadly posted.. not just
I don't believe that Stardock are that stupid to delete scores unless they are posative .. it wouldn't be in their best interest.. and don't forget that when you submit a score. that it doesn't just submit he score.. but also other data which they can check and compair.. and it is extreamly unlikely that playing any 2 games from 2178 to 2190+ that everything except for the checksome and game ID would be the same.. In my mind I too thought it would be easy to cheat.. by simply adjusting those
I agree... I hate cheats ... but I must say that I am suprised that its taken so long for them to start cheating like this and that there were only 2 of them. Very Dissapointing as they'd built up such respect here in the Galciv Community.. It makes one wonder just who that can trust
actually not just score.. I believe its a score and nomper of players math comilation that I can't work out.. this is how empires with less total score actually have a greater slice of the metaverse.. I've asked about this before myself and still can't seem to work it out
Even if it was the same just re-written for the modern day pc's it would be great.. Question: What about running into Copyrite problems.. if not for the game desing then still may have a prob using the name.. I've seen many many re-workings of old games that will no longer work on the modernday pc's.. they nearly always run into these problems.. and whats more they are usually near the end of developement when the complainant does anything about it.. So i'd Suggest contacting t

Spoke to Cari last night.. She said that she'd fix the problem of the Retiring score screen missing the PQ ability test..
Thanks... I just got on to Cari last night.. and she informed me of the same .. but that wasn't the problem... Yes I've found that my PQ ability score was too high (I had it set at 50) but as I say that wasn't my main beef / bug report.. My main problem was that when I checked for Anomalous score by retiring it didn't detect the anomaly ..(like it has done in the past) If it had then I wouldn't have submitted the score..
Just re-loaded my game and NONE of my planets were above PQ32 so thats not it either [Message Edited]
no .. no cheats.. I hate them... and I know about testing with retire... and it passed the retire test... but still posted as anomalous game :( thats why I'm upset ...
Hi, I've just submitted a game where in the Total Screen of AP it states that My score scould be 60000 (as I was told before that if your score is going to be anomolis then it'll show up as "0" not "60,000" I checked regularly through the game and at no time was it indicated that my score would be anomolis (Its from a party I made up and was testing.. ) Other times when my score was going to be anomolis then it Did display "0" but not this game.... Please help.. as it took me 5 hours to
MyIE2.. it requires an additional d/load to get it working with the Gecko engine.. (even though it states it in a menu .. it can be done)
Ahhh but you can.... Use the Other browser... LOL ... this is why I use the one I do.. I can switch engines that it uses... IE or Gecko ;) [Message Edited]
The more the Merrier... No recruit refused ;) I think that the StarFleet Mod has stalled again.. :( Its a real pitty too.. it was shaping up extreamly well J.T.Qwerk
